#Unhandled Exception

@balmy forge @desert falcon Unhandled exception unfortunately could be a lot of things, if you get different crash message then do send another one.
I'd try manually clearing cache, verifying files, unsubbing from any mods, making sure GPU drivers and windows is updated, and removing any overclocks (this includes RAM changes like XMP). I would also double check temperatures of your PC to make sure nothing is overheating.
If none of these help then submit a ticket on here https://support.joinsquad.com/
I have cleared cache didn't help, i have verified steam files, didn't help, gpu and all drivers are updated, now i removed XMP and reinstalled Squad and i will test further. Nothing is overheating in my system
yeah im in the same boat as greg @umbral blade
Still crashing @umbral blade , slightly different this time, it also says something about psysX3_x64
If you go to Nvidia control panel, under "configure surround, PhysX" what do you have for your PhysX Setting?
Auto-select
Try selecting the GPU
Ok, i will but the problem is i have to play A LOT of squad in order to solve this issue, cause it's crashing like 3/5 times and out of nowhere. It may crash 20' in the game or 90mins in the game
Also under the "Manage 3D settings" make sure the OpenGL Rendering GPU is set to you actual GPU
That's already set to my gpu
You might have a "preferred graphics processor:" option just select the high performance Nvidia processor
Will check that too
Another thing, i have all graphics settings maxed out, and i mean evey single one of them
Could this create an issue?
shouldn't do
But that crash points to it potentially being an issue with the GPU drivers or something related to the GPU operation
So the next step if this doesn't work is redownloading GPU drivers, since physx3_x64.dll is related to it
I did exactly that 1h ago, tested for like 30mins and all was good but needs way more testing
👍
Just switched everything to what you suggested @umbral blade going to test it out...
I played earlier and noticed it ran good for 6 hours .... that being said I'm starting to notice when there a huge queue the game crashes alot more
nope its still not working
happened again, this time different error, it seems it gives a different error every time
now it's d3d11
@desert falcon what are your Pc specs?
Gtx 1080ti
Intel i7
32gb ram
I do not believe it's parts I think its a program problem... interfering with squad. I play a variety of games that put alot of load on my pc and it runs perfect no issues... I find it happens when ever alot of stuff is going on.. (tanks rolling in with a chopper flying over). I really am starting to narrow it happening to servers with over 10 people in the queue. The only other game that happens in is DayZ standalone..
@balmy forge
For me that happened right now, i was in an empty server, then it started gathering people, then the admin went live, ended the game and switched map, and then as soon as the new map loaded it crashed, there is no way that this server had so many people in the que
Yesterday it crashed in a full server possibly with lots of players in the que, as soon as i approached an ammo box to rearm
What mobo brand do you have?
I am trying to narrow it down somehow
What other "strange" programs or software are you using? What other games do you play?
Not entirely sure because I had it built for me I would have to check when I get home
I'm not using many programs I thought maybe windows 10 had some interfaces with it cause I read a few things on that... another is razor programs for my mouse
Hmmm i also use razer synapse for my headset... I will try some squad matches without synapse running.
@desert falcon i MAY have found something, do you have steam overlay and/or steam fps counter on?
I don't know, i got a new crash code today, i googled it and one of the possible solutions was turn off steam overlay, then i remembered that recently i turn on steam overlay and steam fps counter, I THINK that's when all my problems started, then i played two squad matches without a crash, but i need to test more
Yeah ill check it out when I get home and let you know what it does
Nope unfortunately it still crashed @balmy forge
Oh shit...
@desert falcon Have you gotten any different crash message?
Assertion failed: [File:C:/buildWork/482dc7ffae9b9a8a/UnrealEngine/Engine/Source/Runtime/Windows/D3D11RHI/Private/D3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 198] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')
this is the code i have
@umbral blade
i believe it means its losing my graphics card mid game
https://appuals.com/how-to-fix-the-error-unreal-engine-is-exiting-due-to-d3d-device-being-lost/ try going through this
you can skip the first bit about updating unreal engine still do the windows updates however
i appreciate it man im looking into it now
its saying i need 3 updates for windows
stress testing it now
yeah did all that and its still giving the same code
i guess squad doesnt want me to play their game
You did solutions 1-9 already?
yes most of the steps ive already done
just a couple on here that were new that i tried
the only thing i havent tried was putting it in window mode
Windowed/borderless window you could try
im gonna give it a shot
the most stressful this is i have to wait 10 min to get in agame
The only other thing I could really suggest is reseating the GPU, although I'd expect you'd be seeing issues in other games too
yeah i play tarkov and multiple games that take alot out of the system thats why i cant wrap my head around this
tarkov prob puts the most stress on my gpu and it runs perfect with no issues
i this what confuses me the most is that i reinstalled squad and it worked perfectly fine for 6 hours straight then i shut it down and tried again later and boom it did it agin
@umbral blade I believe it might be the windowed mode
still testin git though
🤞
Do you know why it would be what is causing the problem?
I couldn't say for sure why
well as of now im not having any problem if it happens agian ill let you know
I already play squad in windowed mode and i had all those crashes, i also tried fullscreen and still crashed
