Honestly if they're bringing the game timeline up they could probably just put the VCOG 1-8 on the normal M27 IAR. Balance wise I think the reason the M38 is stuck in single fire is that OWI gave it the M110 SASS damage model, like a 7.62 NATO DMR instead of a 5.56 rifle. I have no idea if they kept it this way but I mean with the addition of WPMC and the AR-15 + Leupold and bipod dmr kit having a normal 5.56 damage model and full auto capability it seems a little weird that the M38 was even implemented the way it was
