Yeah, that guy really is unlucky. You need to request links from server roles (I don't know why it's so complicated).
Ask one of the admins to retrieve your message from the deleted list.
The situation is truly unfair. Until you create a link, you have no way of knowing that your message will be deleted.
By the time I realized I had to ask for permission myself, I'd lost several messages, fortunately they weren't that important.
But it's not a guarantee that they'll return the text of the message to you. They didn't return it to me.
Hopefully you see this @median shuttle just wanted to go over a few points, and express some of my ideas
First of all I would like to state I love this game but have recently largely tapered off making content or playing it for fun, for multiple reasons.
I have thousands of hours in this game. As of this time of making this i have 3800 hours and have been playing for a very long time.
The issue with this game with thousands of hours in it in my opinion is that you have lost your core gameplay loop, of a punishing entirely skill based game by slowly eroding with misguided and poorly made updates.
There is not one update that has caused this every time you bring something into the game play loop you punch a hole into that loop.
Unfortunately as you have mentioned things weren't done well in the past and with a blatant disregard with community feedback it was bound to happen.
Updates
Every update you guys release takes an absurd amount of time for how large of a company you guys are as far as public numbers go you sit around 150
Every update comes out half baked and littered with bugs
There is teams of 5 pumping out 3x the content that is stable.

You mentioned that you where trying to figure out to improve ICO
My opinion on that is you don't.
The community has expressed that they have a extreme distaste, it is so far off the mark for a fun and challenging system your better off restarting and letting the community guide and build what they want "having the best crack at it" and then tuning it from there
I would love a response on what "the really good things" are that got introduced with that system

"the worst thing we can do is rush changes"
I agree please do not rush changes but don't be scared to make bigs ones as it will be necessary

"inflaming one side or the other on bug fixes or content"
You guys are almost 150 strong that is a ridiculous amount developmental power
@[O] PMO 11 "inflaming on side or the other more content or bug fixes" Yes i agree it is the same side saying the same thing more often than not. the game is stale as the last major update was in sept of 2024 i am not counting UE5 as it brought nothing new other than horrible performance issues
Not directly talking to any point on the video but there is some bugs that have been around for as long as i have been playing ones that should and could get resolved in a single day, its just unacceptable how long you guys take with bugs, we are talking MONTHS, take for example helicopter hitching half of the pilots i knew left the game for arma or similar as you guys took 4 MONTHS to fix a relatively simple issue
@tranquil ferry don't tag developers
"DO NOT tag Offworld Developers, QA or Moderators without a legitimate issue." i feel like this a legitimate issue no?
I lost the backup comment that should have been the first one and contained important additional information. I've now added links to messages created during the discussion, but that's no longer as effective.

It's not a legitimate reason to tag developers.
No worries i will refrain in future then
my appolgises
You can just help the person, because the situation is really painful and unpredictable for a beginner.
Im a Discord Moderator, Not an offworld employee.
I can only provide information that everyone has access to.
So nothing different to what you have/see.
Hmm, it's weird, when my messages were hit by a false positive from the antispam, one of the administrators was able to read them. So I figured there must be access to deleted messages after all.
You replied to a message message for a different matter.
I replied based on that.
If you need support head to #support-discussion
Also the only message i can see deleted via you is from:
Dyno APP — 1/14/2026 11:19 PM
it was before December 31st
im not going back in logs that far.
Cause our logs don't just have deleted, it has every edited also.
Just a story to illustrate why I thought admins had access to messages.
I couldn't understand why messages were being deleted, so I re-posted them, modified, and so on until a 24-hour mute was activated.
thanks for the feedback, Squad dev team is not 150 people, that is the entire studio, it takes a lot of amazing supportive people to run a company, we are roughly 65 people dedicated to Squad 🙂
I love to see this, when I woke up this morning couldn’t be more excited to see a bug fix list this long
