#Raider/Pathfinder Loadout Improvements

In most cases this kit is a worse Rifleman and in some cases is literally a Rifleman without an ammo bag and therefore completely pointless. If it is the case that this kit will remain present for conventional factions then a simple loadout modification might potentially improve its specified utility.

Move to Fire Support section because it would likely be too powerful as a basic Direct Combat kit.

Retain CQC orientated weapon, (full-auto, red dot only).
Give access to a Ladder and 10x Frag, 6x Smoke grenades.

This emphasises the CQC Specialist aspect of the class with Frag and Smoke spam to offer versatility offensively/defensively, and access to a ladder which gives the squad/team more options in terms of mobility and verticality. This would in-practice function like a Grenadier/Rifleman hybrid that excels under 50m. This change heavily emphasises the kit's intended role instead of being ''A Rifleman with no ammo bag and like maybe an extra grenade lol''.

Otherwise I see little value this kit offers a squad compared to other options. Honestly any ideas here would be appreciated.

# compact axle I agree that those kits need useful abilities, but spaming 10 frags is not a goo...

I don't see it much differently from the Grenadier who can already do this but at range and with impact grenades. The limitation of this is that the grenades are hand thrown and thus limited to 50m or less.

It also gets a lot of smoke and a ladder too (grappling hook would be awesome later down the line). I find it kinda hard to justify a kit like this for conventional factions to be honest but it needs improving nevertheless.

I like the idea, but I think the proposed solution should be split into separate loadouts.
I really want a soldier whose only ability is to individually put down a ladder with the rest of him being basically the raider(/rifleman) kit.
But I still like the ideas of very many smoke/fragmentation grenades. It's just that those too should also imo be in separate raider loadouts.

I can't comment on moving the raider between specialist/leadership and whatever. Still don't know how that part works in terms of deep mechanics.

As a sidenote: I think raider should be the designated class to use suppressed weapons, unless "lore" reasons.

Yeah but unlike the grenadier this kit could spam grenades over walls etc. and cannot be countered directly at CQB maps, a grenadier requires LOS and has a much slower ROF. Since this kit would not have to worry about conserving ammo for the SL/AT and grenade spam is the explicit function of this kit, players would do exactly that. And excessive grenade spam on sumari or fallujah is not fun.
