#PC Crashes on startup.

this log doesn't look complete, is this from the /crashes folder?
local/squadgame/saved/logs folder
There are no /crashes folder for me
oh ok found this
for me its /crashreportclient
oh my bad i misunderstood your initial message. your pc is crashing, not the game, correct?
I launch the game, intro movie starts, I click to skip it and my pc crashes and restarts
what does that crash look like? bluescreen or just power off/on
power off then on
this sounds like an issue with your hardware. possibly power/power supply related. every other game you play is fine?
Yes. This issue started before UE5 i upgraded to a 5070ti from 3060ti. I reinstall operating system, did clean driver install. And even after UE5 same issue
what psu do you have/how much do you trust it
and can you install HWiNFO and check your system voltages to make sure they're all +-15% what they should be?
ok no issues on tarkov but crashes on ue4 and ue5 squad?
watch/record them through a game launch to make sure they dont dip. if they dont and power seems solid i would run GPU compute and GPU vram stress tests/benchmarks to try to reproduce the issue. if you can, might be a warranty. if you cant, id guess either squad black magic or something more subtle and devious
and do the hwinfo logging through this just in case. if you don't want to mess with Excel you can find CSV plot websites to graph the logs btw
To be honest it could be the PSU. It's atleast 5 years old.
It may not be able to handle the power draw and be crashing
I literally tried everything, clearing dx cache, clearing nvidia cache, reinstall OS, driver update, etc.
It worked with the 3060ti so maybe it had a bit of headroom wattage wise
5 isn't too old for PSU, great brands will sell with 10 year warranties. but 5 is also not young
It's 5 years old and my dad got it from me from e-waste lol
so its probably seen much more use xD
Ill use the voltage tracker but ill only be able to upgrade in like 2 months ill let u know then lol
But that's got to be the issue especially after swapping hardware.
be careful with power issues because bad power can damage things
