Server ping is not within OWI's responsibility.

a server ping can also increase if the server is under a DDOS attack/ddos filtering depending on the server implementation of such, forcing clients to take longer for communication.

For example, if they have on site, ping increase should be fairly minor.
If they mitigate the attack off site, the connection for everyone is shunted from local to a 2rd site first, then to client. increasing player ping cause of an additional connection.

Their is plenty of things which can cause all players pings on a server to increase.

This can also increase from squad server load.

In game ping is calculated off - Client Connection to Server + Server Processing Time.
