Maps like Harju and Gorodok have too much trees!
It ruins gameplay and playability of the game.
Please make 4 times less trees

How do they ruin the gameplay?

They been there for years

Unfortunately I cannot agree with this. Trees and vegetation add to the gameplay and playability. Just change the way you play and approach the gunfights while you are in the forest.

Too many trees for those in armour maybe. Harju is near perfect for infantry. Possibly my fav map.

Plant a tree so the next gen can enjoy the shade.

I have about 90 fps on most of the maps and 15 on harju
Possibly bks of 100s of trees that or useless
They look stupid and unrealisticand also breaks the gameplay.
You can't flank on loggy, you can't flank on foot bks every bush is potential enemy.
And after all you have a biiiig map fool of trees.
Why make big map if 99% of it is non play zone

I'm not sure this person lives in an area that has trees.

Isn't that the point? In real life areas from Eastern Europe have high density of trees and if you ever went to hunting , you could not see the enemy(the pig) ,instead the dogs find it for you. It's the same on military operations, you barely get to see your enemies face to face. Except there are no dogs hunting people but yeah...

Trees in a forest are unrealistic. We should replace them with billboards. For the really big forests we can cut down the trees and build a shopping mall. I think that would be cool and epic.

No

We need aqua park

Or tesco

Replace Harju with a giant Buc-ee's

And a Six Flags

Let's have a restaurant as well for good measure

I vote for LIDL

The tree density is too high on mani at least after repainting new ue5 foliage. Trees are good, but too many trees make an already bad logi experience worse.

Duh, but its a game. Being able to drive through forests is one of the better balance choices OWI made before losing their vision.

??? That's something you need to work around in game. Driving a vehicle through a forest should be harder than driving it on a road. Forests are not places you should want to drive vehicles. They're some of the few terrains that infantry can utilize against vehicles and you want to make it easier for vehicles to take control of that space because it would be "fair"? Put an infantry against an IFV in an open area, who wins? That's not balance, that's bullshit.

Bad balance in squad is hard blocking anything from going anywhere, IE pipeline in goose or deep rivers on mani. Every part of the map should be some form of better or worse, but never impassible to a significant degree.

Forests have always provided concealment for vehicles in squad for ambushes or flanks. Limiting vehicles to roads dumbs down the possibilities and turns maps into a cod esque forced lane hellhole.

This is partially why mutaha yeho and goro are widely considered the best maps.

Yeah, and the meta before was extremely in favor of vehicles because of it.

I said that trees on mani are too dense since OWI repainted them. Not that all forests are bad

Then it's a problem for vehicles if there is infantry in the forest, as it should be.

Is a building a large map blocking element? How much friction does a single building add versus a whole impassible forest spanning a quarter of the map

#

Mutaha and fallujah are great maps that allow for great flow and have many buildings.

#

But there is no place outside of a walled courtyard a vehicle cant reasonably reach

So if two of the best maps in my opinion consist of mostly forest, am i arguing that all forests should be done away with? Or am I arguing that on one specific map i mentioned OWI painted forests too dense...

Ppl touch the grass pls.
Pine trees doesn't grow so dense, they grow 9 to 30 m from eachother. In terms of the game, maybe there are such distance, but it doesn't look so, I mean it doesn't feel so... It feels like you gonna scrap your shoulder when trying to make some meters inside forest..
Also pine forests usualy are brown, dark green, but not yellow or lime.
Also there is no need in such number of trees which impacts perfomance and make tree areas unplayable.
And statement to be understood...in this topic I don't care about realism much, i'm only asking to make maps playeble. If 99% is not even visited during the round why bother creating this areas for developer areas and render them for player...
What us online in this game 30-40k imagine how much electricity burned rendering maps like harju for 50 min round

If you want maps to be more playable; better petition the devs to come up with a new way for choosing RAAS flags, add more flag locations, more AAS modes, more game modes, and ultimately more ways to play areas of the maps, instead of the exact same four "random" layers everyone plays over and over.

To your needing to drive though the trees... stop driving through the trees ... and what says it is the trees causing your performance issue? It is an entirely different engine. Maybe it is your internet connection.
