#Loach CAS Small rotors clipping on nothing

Tallil Outskirts RAAS
Main rotor randomly explodes as if it collided with an object. The enemy team confirmed none of them shot my rotor. In the clip you can see it goes from 100% rotor health to 0% in an instant, so it wasn't from being shot. This used to only happen in main base near the heli pads with the Loach CAS Small, but now it happens in random places in the map like this. This happened 1 other time to me, but didn't capture that one on video.

three times in one match it has happened just now, here is the most recent of the 3 occurences

I am noticing this bug seems to happen during weapon switches, every time I have seen it. I switch from rockets to minigun, back to rockets to fire one rocket, then back to minigun and the tail rotor explodes on itself.
This bug existed since the first playtest
I didn't see it on their "Known issues" part of the patch notes, are they already aware of this bug?

It happened a few more times today, here's the most recent one at the end of a Black Coast v2 RAAS game
it seems that every time this happens to me, my heli is able to land and tumble around on the ground w/o taking any hull damage at a speed that would normally blow up the heli at any other time, except when this glitch occurs. Which is nice so I can try to recover it, but enemies can take advantage of this glitch by going to shoot me as I make repairs.
Have you played any games without that problem
Yeah, a few, that's why I put intermittent. The one thing I see that happens consistently is switching weapons while flying seems to always be what happens at the same time the rotor explodes.
@robust chasmThis is a bug that has existed in Ue5 since very early closed playtesting
What happens is that the weapon that you switch from is actually a different "Asset" and it just goes invisible while another asset with the same geometry appears.
But when the weapon disappears, it seems like it's collision does not get removed / move with the vehicle so when the rotors go to where the weapon was at the time you switched, it acts like something hit your rotor

As I moved downwards after changing weapons its collision box stayed in that spot and when my main rotor went through it. The game thought it collided and broke the rotors
Thanks for that, I tried to test it in the range and couldn't duplicate it. Now that I know this, I am going to try to test it to see how reliably this occurs and that will help me to try to avoid switching weapons while dropping altitude until they make a fix.
After a few more days with this, it happens very reliably. It is 100% replicatable. Hope this bug is fixed soon now that it has been identified.
This was identified over 6 months ago in the unreal 5 tests

Only way to avoid this that I have been able to do is to fly slighly up and backwards 
or pitch down a little bit and make sure your heli is going upwards and forwards and switch guns
Im succesfull with that like 75% of the time but if I am going to fast that 25% gets ya so I prefer to invert
That 25% is because you didnt fully straighten out, happens to me too, so you're flying forward, but your heli is tilted left or right slightly and now your tail rotor hits the invisible hitbox
It's annoying, but definitely avoidable, gotta do what you gotta do till they fix it

after trying to break my rotor for several minutes, I believe it is fixed
funny that they don't include it in the patchnotes

yeah, I was dissappointed then happy to find it wasn't happening anymore

they also changed how the minigun fires, it shoots one beam out of the center of the heli now, instead of the two guns on the wings
That has to be a bug introduced from them fixing the other one
