European Insurgents (EUINS)

Since the name change of insurgents to Middle Eastern Insurgents, there is now an option to have regional insurgent groups and this is my proposition for a European Insurgent Faction, inspired by the IRA but changed to fit the mold of Squad. Based in central Europe, they've acquired vehicles from France and the UK through skirmishes on convoys and attacks on military depots.

not even remotely similar. MEA is a conventional faction based in the middle east, hence the name, and play like turkey which another conventional faction. this is a central european unconventional faction, inspired by the IRA but uses captured vics from the UK and France to round up their lineup. Literally everything besides the armoured vics were used by the IRA

militia uses mostly older soviet equipment, including rocket artillery which this faction lacks. They make up for it with mobile and emplaced 360mm improvised mortars and more western equipment. their armoured vics are also weaker in comparison to militia, and they get standalone VBIEDs

Since we do not have any central EU maps where militia is not available, this faction would basically be homeless. The maps you mentioned are all in eastern europe, and militia just makes much more sense there. I also find it implausible to have such a faction in central europe. How could there be a irregular force with MBTs and IFVs?

I was more thinking about future proofing the game if and when we get urban maps set in Poland, France and Germany, which are all popular faction suggestions. Yes there is a lot of overlap between them but we also had ins vs mil layers before, what would be the issue with imf vs euins? But yeah the fact that they get access to vics like the amx and the warrior are a bit far fetched, but I included them for the sake of game balance. Maybe they stole them idk

If we would have fitting maps, I dont mind have a faction of some radical central European insurgents and separatists. However I can only imagine them as light inf, without any armor or heavy fire support. They would only work against a very limited selection of conventional factions. Perhaps as they could work with the insurgency overhaul?

of course id prefer them without conventional armour but i wouldnt think itd be very fun to play as especially on more open parts of the map. unless theyre restricted to small maps without heavy armour and open fields i feel like they should have some conventional armour. yes with an overhaul of insurgency as a whole it would be a smoother implementation

also the mbt ifv situation with irregular forces brings up the issue with IMF, MEINS and WPMC also having MBTs. im not too fussed with the MEINS and IMF getting BMPs though it feels balanced enough and it fits the game imo
