Add equipment similar to the Russian Ground Forces for the Airborne Forces faction. For example, the BMD-2 and BMD-2M, which is essentially a lightweight amphibious version of the BMP-2 and BMP-2M.

The BMD-2 is far from being similar to a BMP-2, but I do agree it should be added to the VDV since it's more widely used than the BMD-1M in game currently
