Generally speaking....it would be great (where applicable) to add a breacher kit (with a shotgun) into the squad kit options (1 per faction).

It would add a great deal of variety and versatility to the squad without a great deal of effort.

Possibly providing it to the combat engineer to help the squad clear buildings when they're not setting up mines.

Just my thoughts tho.

Please feel free to provide your thoughts and recommendations.

before breaching kit we need doors
also i don't remember seeing a lot of shotguns in use by conventional forces IRL

Me when the raider kit

also, adding that takes away from combat engineer and a short-range gun dude would have the same problem as a sniper and MMG roles already have just kinda a waste role

Once they add doors, this kit will be fun. There also the fact that other kits will be more effective on longer ranged maps than this one, but I’m not against it

I'm pretty sure they're also a standard component of Chinese squads, or were for the longest time

# olive heart The Americans used them quite a bit

Shotguns were somewhat common amongst most nations forces during GWOT - But not for anti-personnel purposes, 99% of the time were used as a utility tool to blow the locks/hinges off of doors and gates.

Depending on the unit, every platoon or Squad would have atleast 1 shotgun for breaching purposes.

While i'm not very convinced of the breacher kit, i'm okay with having a shootgun in some kits.

I see it like : get a shotgun as a secondary weapond for a rifleman kit. (1 per 20 people in the team)

I think the main thing they should address is that any kit variety is quickly shadowed by the loss of the ammo bag.
