#[Controversial] No more faction, more stuff & features

they should add the mongolian army
yes they should add more to the current factions before they add new ones...
approved
BAF needs an urgent rework/buff
canada, china, and britian all need reasons to be played
Gonna be honest here you're suggestions for improving any of those factions feels woefully out of touch.
you asked for examples on how the factions could be made more niche and specific weapons and i gave you some nerd
that was a 60 second wikipedia search
I didnt engage you in further autistic debate in that post now you are here to follow me for more arguments? gtfo
Stop bullying just_dan, hes just a dan 😦
Theoretically, everything Dan suggested could be added, it would just be a new convention or implementation!
Yes, yes and yes! We need this more! Let's not forget about the map rework, because they have terrible game design.
Wow britain will be OP with thermal binoculars and claymore xDD
chill mate
Well, one step at the time, before adding claymore or radars/stingers, lets add some QOL and a couple weapons
I dont see how AP mines help
10000%, easy things first then content, content doesn't fix things
Genuinely why the DShK 1938? That’s such a strange choice, especially since the Chinese made copies of the DShKM and long since replaced those with newer HMGs
What would be really cool is one of the light 12.7s the Chicoms like
I mean China has the QJZ
Do they already have the QJZ-89?
Interesting. I thought that was on a bipod although I could be thinking of the Kord
You know, what they should add for the Chinese amphibious troops is the silly little Chinese QBZ-56C which was used by the Navy. I adore this little bastard
There was a PLAMC post a while back on how to make them unique on Reddit
Why not both?
More factions, more variety in existing factions, and updates/reworks to existing system?
It's not like there's only one guy in OWI that's creating models, making animations, and writing code
They dont use the DSHK anymore
If that we're talking about
Found what I was talking abty
He's talking about adding content and game fixed
Bit modern isn’t it? The QBZ-191 was announced in 2021 iirc
Both is good, but at some point content has to go from being an asset to a piece of content.
Basically prioritise fixing the game.
Yeah theres a few flaws with it like the Xingking camo as it has been added to the PLA
I would adore the PLA Marine Corp, although the biggest issue comes from making it significantly different from the PLA’s amphibious forces.
Yeah\
I think itd be fine
To take extreme creative liberties
Cause right now its really bad
I would like to have the 3 chinese factions differentiated better than they are. Like Army VS USMC
God I forgot there was a 3rd one
There's three?
The fucking
People’s Liberation Army Amphibious Ground Force
That one
It's should honestly be removed from the game
It's ridiculously pointless
Yep definitely
The probably fairly sizable chinese playerbase would not be pleased
Maybe they could get Indonesia or Singapore as compensation
it's a hybrid of the two
PLA has no tracked logi, no ZTD
PLAMC has nothing BUT tracked logi, only ZTD
PLAAGF has both, plus ZTD and ZTZ
Owi has limited ressources, and the idea is not to have a ton of identical factions with just a reskin and small changes but instead having very différent factions.
For instance the us, canada and Australia have way too much things in common, especially Australia and Canada.
The thing is, every faction should be interesting to play, not just a variant of another faction
it's not a 5 guy team but it's not a 5000 guy team either
lookst like there's 100 ~ 200 guys on the team
mutliple games mind you
Size of the company or just the dev team?
I think Plaagf should stay in the game. For more diversity, they could be added with the Type 63A amphibious tank, a predecessor of the ZBD-05, which is more agile on land.
Also, their rifle could be the Type 81 rifle, or maybe the QBZ with the QMK152 optical sight, which has 1-3x swap modes
The Type 63 has long been out of Chinese service for decades
Or am I thinking of the original Type 63
Either way, it’s just kinda worse in most manners than the ZBD-05
That'd be a litteral nerf for the PLA
While it is true that replacing the PLAAGF (not PLA standard) with the Type 63A would be a nerf in some aspects, I have heard that the Type 63A was specifically designed for swamp and river-crossing operations. In terms of lore, this makes it more suitable for the PLAAGF compared to the Navy Marines. They could add it as a replacement for the ZTD-05, especially since they still have the ZTZ-99 as their main battle tank
I legitimately believe that you don't own the game
But doesn’t the ZTD-05 also swim across rivers?
you talking to me?, who are you mate?
I feel like the that would make the Chinese Marines even less likely to be played ngl
The ZTD-05 is fairly capable whereas the Type 63A is barely a tank by 1960s standards, much less by modern day
It’s true, of course, but the ZTD-05 has a slower land speed compared to the Type 63A light tank, if the specifications are correct
I don't think China uses them anymore
That doesn’t matter if you can’t survive a decent hit
Yes, it doesn’t, but they retired it in recent times, around the late 2010s
Okay, it's legit worse in every way for the PLA
Well, yes. I think it should be played as an additional MGS, not MBT
But why not just have the ZTD variant with the 105mm gun?
Well, again, for diversification? I mean, RGF has the MTLB 6MB as their IFV in the logistics sub-faction
Yeah, but that’s also a vehicle that’s still used. In fact, I believe it’s a rather recent creation iirc
Yes, indeed. The MTLB 6MB is still in use today. However, if the game's lore is set around the mid-2010s, the Type 63A was still in service with the PLA at that time, as it was only retired in 2021
They dont really have a use for it though. Besides the PLAAGF has no reason to be in the game
In the game? Yes, they don’t need it, as they already have a better MGS. But for diversification, as this thread suggests, then absolutely, why not? At the end of the day, it was still around within the game's timeline
Maybe the way to use the Type 63A would be to have it act as a low tier IFV for like the logistics unit or something
