A5 is same variant that Canada uses really, only difference is the lack of the rails on the front
And is still used today by US
Yeah but the M72A7 and M72A5 server 2 different purposes, A7 is more designed for anti structure purposes with more explosive warhead, while A5 is a HEAT warhead for anti tank usage
And in game we have A5 stats with A7 model
Yeah but A7 has more explosives in the warhead and is not proper HEAT warhead
A7 is not HEAT rocket
A7 is an upgraded A6 which has lowered penetration values but increased blast effect
Yes A5 is proper anti vehicle rocket
Which is the basis for in game LAW stats
But we use a A7 LAW model
But they have
And rocket is still used by other nations
Example Canada
But why would US use a non shaped charge warhead against armor
So have something that doesnt affect anything in game
Either have correct model in this case M72A5 LAW (only difference would be removal of the rail on the front) or have correct stats like it is for other AT weapons
This would be a major balancing issue if 150 mm of pen is added
oh well am pro hat player
not that your wrong but there really isn’t a need for it. Maybe when the game is updated to add destruction, they would probably update most things
but I see it as just a balancing issue
Most vics dont have that much armor to begin with anyway
Just saying that’s it’s literally an unnecessary change. By that logic you should change the rounds on tanks.
to match its real world counterpart
Like for example most armor on a ZBD04 is 40mm
it’s a good idea but in this game which is not milsim it’s unnecessary
Now depending on what angle you hit the armor depends if you can pen or not
I mean if Canada gets A5 variant then US can get it aswell just so it has correct stats really
Then that’s a balancing issue they need to make these other factions unique rather then nato faction #2
I hate to bring this up, but isnt posting military capabilities (even declassified to US citizens) to the broader internet in violation of ITAR?
<@&101483014839611392> Any idea on this?
If it's on the internet, we really don't care.
ITAR does not even cover this discord.
Offworld is canadian based company.
Fair enough I guess, although it would be an issue if someone from the US was posting that info, so Id ask people keep that in mind
Not our place to govern US laws.
It's the internet, people can do & state as they wish aslong as it abides by the terms & polices set via Discord & Offworld.
