I admit, I didn't specify what I meant. But this doesn't really change anything. In the game cmd has a 120mm mortar, which means he should also have a 105mm.
I just don’t see the point or effectiveness in this weapon other than using it via cmd. The game has a mortar on the fob that destroys everything.
You already proposed a very similar idea a few weeks ago...

Seriously though, why not? UK doesnt use 120mm mortars so a L118 could be unique too them but also at the same time CAN/AUS and US use them also. Could bring more variation to the Battlegroups. Its not like its going to ruin the dynamics of a game.
im going to keep posting about it every few weeks regardless of the opinions of manlets and keyboard warriors because i know the devs will eventually respond. And thats whose opinion really matter on the subject.

also ive been firing field guns all game across the map as artillery right now two at a time with a massive fire rate and decimating enemy pushes from nearly 3000 meters away. I also have the capability to take out a stationary tank at that range. player controlled artillery is already in the game. its just only available with the irregulars as of now, which is whats frustrating, why do only the irregulars have such capability?

It is convenient to say that I did not try to shoot from the ZiS-3 without even knowing it. I shot the ZiS-3 and can only highlight the Mestia map (I don’t know if this can be done now or not, but it could have been used before). Also Yehorivka. That's it, the list ends here.
MLRS is good in the game, but again not on all maps. Its advantage is that it is mobile. As a rule, irregular factions have plenty of vehicles with supplies, which does not make it difficult to supply even stationary guns at the FOB. Any person not even 3 km away will hit a standing tank... This does not make the weapon unique. The most important artillery in the game is stationary mortars - it has already been proven and tested by everyone.

While the game does not have good area damage for projectiles (except cmd artillery), alas, it is not so effective. The 120 mm is good only because it has unique ammunition. Take a regular one and it will be worse than an 82mm mortar. Worse accuracy, approximately the same affected area. Any building lives longer when fired from a 120mm mortar than when fired from an 82mm mortar. I checked this 2-3 months ago, maybe they changed the HE damage? It's worth checking again.

what is the point of making the same posts over and over again if youre not willing to engage in a discussion with others that disagree with your idea? it doesnt make your ideas sound any better if you keep disregarding everyone that criticizes your suggestions (or suggestion since youve been asking for the same thing several times now)
because that's all they are just criticisms, from people who sit here in the discord and argue regardless of their actual knowledge or experience on the subject like its their full time job. this guy rt came here to tell me that firing zis 3s as indirect artillery is "bad" or "unneccesary" when he's never actually put the method into practice himself. This post is not here for debate and discussion, its supposed to be our direct line of contact to the devs since there is none other, not for petty arguments over whos playstyle is more effective.

dude do you not hear the entitlement oozing from what youre saying right now? The devs dont owe you anything besides developing a game that runs well and plays good, everything else is secondary and your suggestions include that. This isnt the place for suggestions to get shipped straight to the devs and to be added the week after, its an avenue where people can provide feedback and suggestions about Squad and have others criticize or discuss about it, if you dont like that then you can send your suggestions straight to OWI's email
I like you, dude. You take something out of thin air and say that it really is, completely ignoring everything else. You want this artillery because you use it, but you absolutely ignore how many people will use it. You don't care about efficiency, you care about fun. Stop thinking only about yourself and ask self-critical questions to your suggestions.
After all, all your experience in artillery, judging by your words, is only the ZiS-3.

step 1. set up radio and have 3 or 4 guys
step 2 have perfect position that overlooks any trees and hills blocking trajectory
step 3 hav a forward observer who tells you exactly where your shots are landing
step 4 have a logi runner so you dont run out of shells by the time your bracketed, doubt you know what bracketing means
all of this takes time, effort and patience and an open mind that 99& of squad players DO NOT HAVE
THAT IS THE SOLE REASON THIS CANNOT POSSIBLY BE OVER POWED
