I know that a lot of SL's has issues handling radio, leading, shooting the enemies, and prepare the future position, etc...

One thing would be able to lighten the stress of SL's by allowing a radio operator kit that would handle the commander's coms for the SL.

Before some people complaining about it, here is how i would implement it :

  • When creating a squad, by default this kit is locked
  • If the SL wants, he can unlock this kit
  • As soon as somebody take this kit, the commander radio goes silent for the SL and the guy has the commander radio instead.
  • As soon the kit is not taken, the radio goes back to the SL.

This is the dumbest idea in the history of ideas.
The SL will now have to worry about whether the comms dude is understanding what he is saying and relaying it correctly.
Adding an extra layer of shit comms need to pass through will just make it more of a hassle.

# lime shoal JTAC is not anything close to raido operators, and depending on which country yo...

No shit but 9/10 time the guy who is JTAC certified just happens to also be the radio operator to cut down on telephone and increase efficency

Standard is that squads are connected on the UHF spectrum 5-10km (Radios like the Bowman PRR or RF-7800) while Squads are connected on the UHF-VHF spectrum 10-20km (Radios like the 152), the radio operator is the guy with the HF radio(Radios like 117C amd 117G) that can reach anywhere in the world as it can bounce on earths Ion sphere its not Vietnam anymore where every squad needed a HF radio

at the end of the day problem lies with people not knowing how to communicate info so its short and precise

#

no amount of mechanics will change that

if someone gives info in command chat using grid squares he just gets insta muted in my book

you dont really need that long of a course to learn how to give info

#

but if no one ever explained it to you, it might be hard

#

this is only as an example alot of people would fail miserably to communicate how to tell on cmd chat about the hab north of niva radio here

"enemy hab north of niva radio 100m"

#

its all you need

#

and ofcourse place and remove irrelevant markers

#

alot of people just leave outdated marks on map creating a mess too

#

but we could talk about it all day
