As it says on the tin. There are just too many vehicles for the maps. How are you supposed to play as a Squad when there are 2 BRDMs, 3, BTRS and Tank all roaming around.

The faction thing has added far too many vehicles to the game. It is often a total grind where there are mismatched numbers of vehicles to infantry

1-2 players per BRDM
2 player per BTR
2-3 players in a tank

Quick maths gives us a number of 11-13 players in vehicles and on a 50 player team thats 26% of your team in vics

#

So other 74% can be infantry

#

Thats 3 full infantry squads + mortars/atgm squad + 1-2 heli pilots

While i dont think there is more vics in total than what it used to be, maybe 1-2 more vics, i do think overall unit balance is off and needs to be looked at

In general why would you take motorized over armored other than having faster mobility but less fire power

#

When at the end of the day more tanks > more no ATGM IFVs

I hate all the armour in game. But probably due to infantry sl not thinking. Enemy vic rolls up to hab nobody can spawn. You have 4 anti tank guys in the blue circle maybe one or 2 need ammo. And nobody can get to the ammo crate beside the hab. But you have 1000 build and no sl will place one.

there is no problem with vehicles, the only problem is how ballistics work on vehicles and the fact that vehicles have an HP bar, vehicles normally serve as support for infantry and not the main weapon like in battlefield and currently in squad where people drive the tank itself to points and often it still eliminates most of the opposing infantry, where in real life, entering a tight environment without infantry support is a death sentence.

Tbh I think the unit selection was a mistake and should be removed entirely, but that's beyond the scope of this thread.

In general it's a skill issue on the infantry AT and friendly vehicles' parts. HAT should only be used by experienced players, and in the hands of experienced players, it's a very effective and easy (in my opinion, every time I pick a HAT I kill/disable multiple IFVs and at least assist in destroying the MBT) role to play. The amount of vehicles present wasn't that different before, but ICO nerfed ATs in general, and the lack of experience in a large part of the community now makes vehicle presence seem overstated. That's about all

The amount of vics that are a threat drastically increased.
Back then there were like 5-6 armored vics that could kill you that you couldn't damage unless being an AT (so everything non open-top).

Usually like:
1 RWS
2 BTR/LAV
1 Tracked IFV
1 MBT

Nowadays there can easily be 10 of those, there are probably even more extremes.
Example is RGF Tank
3 Tracked Logis (all with an 7.62 remote turret)
3 MTLB
2 BMP
2 MBT

I find it to be very unengaging as a non LAT to just sit there and wait for my LATs/HATs to do the job. The HATs can't be everywhere and the LATs will take much longer for bigger vics, just having me sit there for a long time until the vic drives away on it's own or finally gets destroyed.

Armored factions also get voted very often and even though these vics might just end up bleeding the enemies of tickets, it always comes with much more static and exhausting gameplay.

I dont mind waiting for the ATs to deal with the tank, or face my demise if they fail to do so, its exciting for me to not have my ingame fate out of my hands. However there is just too many roaming around at all times. Lat and hat are always away from the squad, usually with a rifleman, attracted to steel like flies on shit, even if the vehicle does not pose a direct threat. It also takes away from the surprise and awe of something heavy appearing.
