#give some 45 ACP pistols

I would like to see pistols familiar to the legendary M1911 or something more modern like SIG Sauer P320,personally I expect 45 acp in game compared to 9mm as more enemy destabilization on hit,some more damage( standard pistol damage in game is 20.5), a little more suppression and his blood loss.So arguments:its be small feature for US and maybe MEA( if they be use old colts), USMC can take a small pay for terrible weapons by colt like guns. idk just leave this a bunch of words here.have a good day

Fuck it,i simply offered 45 caliber in the game with approximate examples, and here the majority tries to prove to me that my examples, which I did not oblige to add into the game, are unrealistic,wow

None of the factions in game have standard issue pistol chambered in .45 ACP, only thing that would make sense is something along the lines of giving it to PMCs with a M45A1 maybe

As I understand it .45 doesn't have any meaningfully greater effect than good 9mm in this day and age, the type of 9mm that the PMCs would probably be carrying.
A .45 would be cool as a neat little thing but I don't think it should have better performance really.

The M45 was taken out of the limited service it was seeing by the USMC, and the US Army abandoned the 1911 decades ago, so I would agree with Dongie on it only really making sense for PMCs

The game would get fairly boring quickly because you'd always be fighting against the same enemy, essentially - either being Russia, INS and PMC. It's rare that somebody picks PLA, MEA or even IMF anymore

Don't know who would really fit the bill for most maps tho

They'd probably have to come with their own maps because like, insurgents from West Africa don't really make sense for a map set in Finland etc.

What could be interesting is to add a conventional variant to other irregular factions that might be added in the future. For example, an Asian insurgent faction could receive a counterpart of a conventional army similar to MEA, or an African rebel faction could receive an African army like the former

The M17 and M18 are a Sig Sauer P320 and a Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry with an external safety to meet US requirements its not a completly new gun.......

Just how an M4 is an AR15 but an AR15 isnt necessarily an M4

The P320 adopted by Denmark, Canada, Australia, Spain and the US are all chambered in 9x19 Parabellum because that is the NATO standard it leads to interoperability between nations so they can recieve ammo from each other without causing issues. The US got 5.56x45mm standardised when they gave up on 7.62x51mm and in return Europe got 9x19mm

If you wanna see what happens when you have multiple variants of the same gun chambered in different calibers look up Japan durn World War 2

Samme reason why everyone pretty much uses 5.56

Honestly if anything I think it makes sense for the WPMC to get 1911s or other 45acp pistols rather than the Browning HPs because they don't really care about standardization. I mean all their riflemen get pistols like insurgents so I have to assume these are their personal pistols so they can choose to bring whatever they want
