This would reduce information overload making SL less taxing and enable more complexity for veterans

Create a "feeder" for FTLs to dip their feet into coordinating live players before trying SL themselves for the first time

Easier for outside friend groups to play together and engage with in-game communication instead of hiding in discord (!!!)(it would be easier to get my friends to buy /spend money on the game if it was easier for us to talk to each other)

Give brand new players a smaller audience to ask potentially "embarrassing" questions

Talk in local maybe?

Yes, but the solution is already to talk in local. Otherwise all we would get is 4 friends walking away on their own special mission. So basically circumventing some server no inf lock rules and they could just grab all the special kits to have a fun time.

There are scenarios where the squad lead actually assigns different tasks to the individual fireteams which also can include splitting up for manuvers, supporting a different squad or just delegation of tasks in general. Sometimes the fireteams are too far away from each other because how the match developed. To reduce noise and confusion in the squad voice chat it could be useful to have dedicated voice channels for each fireteam.

You could argue that these situations should never happen in the first place that the squad is too split up but this would just ignore the reality.

No this is totally normal. However inside those fireteams, they should be in local range. Fireteam lead can relay important info over squad comms so that SL knows what is happening.
