We already have point aiming for when you're low on stamina & have been running.
Try to point aim with optics then
yes but i feel like i should be able to switch between my optic and point aiming
Some optics have a secondary ironsight on top of them. They need to make these usable.

The character is always, barring a few situations, in a point shooting stance.
Are you perhaps referring to that special canted ADS thing that some games label as point shooting?
They probably mean a stance without free aim, because the free aim is implemented in a way that makes precise shooting arbitrarily difficult.
There's also no fov focus/zoom factor which makes point shooting at longer distances less practical than in other shooters with similar mechanics
I think they should keep the "free aiming" but have all rifles in the middle of the screen like when you point shoot in real life. It's just weird to have the rifle come of the side at an angle.
they need a genuine point fire aiming mode, should be 3 modes of aiming, the hip fire as it basically is now, point fire, then ads
I would love to see point aiming but look at this issue from a gameplay/balance perspective. What’s the point of picking a kit with iron sights or 1x magnification if there’s another kit that has a 4x scope if point aiming is implemented? Many kits would be worse by default simply because their performance is comparable worse in long distance engagements because of the lack of high power optics.
Just have point shooting be less accurate than irons but still be way more usable than free aim
