This is judgement based solely on your screenies.
you picked two polar opposites for lighting, but aside from that, S44 snow does not look real at all, unless it's some chewed up area. Yes Squad snow does not look super great, which really comes down to micro textures such as sparkle and some SSS, really. Have you seen real snow? I don't mean to be a prick asking that, but I've seen snow in 3 different countries and none look like the S44 example you posted.

it was an example my dude, squad has always felt so flat, they use to have tessellation but removed since 4,27 does not support it

my ss was just an example I was not specifically saying snow, just everything in general, just like I said above on how tessellation was a thing but was removed when 4.27 released
