Suppression effect lasts way too long from bullets. Seems like effects from mortars/explosives last for a shorter time which should be same for bullets.

The overall effect on your screen making everything gray and blured is awful.

Dubs made this which would be far better and easier on the eyes, explosives and large caliber guns can apply the heavy suppression effect where everything is blured while small arms apply this vinette effect.

And instead of twitching there should be slight misalingment. So instead of not being able to see the target due to blur you can actually return fire with slight inacuracy to your shots.

I don't like so much and so long blur either and something needs to be done for sure, but removing decent suppression is not good decision IMHO

Devs definitely should've done two modes instead of forcing everyone.

I just want a better suppression effect with slightly altered mechanic instead of adding sway and you guys just go off at eachother

Sorry, i just want Squad to be more mil-sim-like (ARMA with HABs). Squad before ICO is just Battlefield with HABs for me (idk is there HABs in BF?), despite what ""true" Squad players" think. But the devs made the wrong decision when forced everyone to play mil-sim-like Squad.@leaden kayak

You claim that v5 was BF with HABs. That is wild and completely absurd when taking the wide range of the FPS market into account. Squad has always been on the very fringe of the realism end. By your own admittance you dont actually know what is (in) BF. Also it seems likely to me that you dont know Arma either. As someone with an extensive amount of time in multiple Arma titles let me tell you that it isnt a MilSim. Its a Sandbox for people to play Life mods, KotH, Wasteland and importantly DayZ type games. There are no public 50v50 combined arms PvP milsim scenarios.
All that aside why are we having some fundamental finger pointing competition of who is and is not a Squad player and what it should and should not be.

The question was: At what point is suppression just you missing shots and deserving to loose the fight?
