# vale spear really shouldn't matter at that range

It certainly should. 40ft isn't an "easy" shot for pistols. Shooting pistols accurately is harder than shooting rifles. Modern FPS games made pistols the quickdraw option, but in the real world, small barrel misalignments in pistols translates to larger deviation cause the barrel is so short. Try running to where you're breathing heavily and hold a pistol steady.. ain't easy bruh. Soldiers prob don't train with pistols nearly as much as service rifles anyway (just guessing)

Having to check two bars before shooting is stupid. You enemy is right in front of you.

Dude it's really not that hard - it just a /tiny bit/ of practice and awareness. It has "a feel" to it. If you're actually trying /at all/ you should start to "feel" when your stamina is low without EVER having to check any bars. Good players will have this 'click'. Bad players will continue to miss, not understand why, and post about it on discord. Earth's gonna keep on spinnin'.

As for why so many players complain about it, and why they're definitely still wrong - modern FPS games have not been innovating on this type of thing. Modern FPS gamers aren't used to having to be aware of the difference that pressing sprint for 20 seconds, versus 5 seconds, will have on their ability to be accurate. Just because some players prefer less complex weapon handling, doesn't mean that the game should regress to the lowest common denominator.

It's also selection bias. You only really see the instances of people complaining about it. Most people have already learned it and are playing the game. Makes you think it's a bigger deal than it actually is, which is true more broadly for all the ICO feedback in discord. People that love it don't post, and they certainly don't debate nuance about it in the discord (that's just me, I'm not normal)
