hey bud
Do you happen to have access to a VPN service?
I don't use a vpn on desktop
Ah i see, I can access a VPN if you mean that
I recently clean reinstalled windows so its not currently installed
I'm in the UK and joining EU servers
It's just a shot in the dark but from experience, routing issues and connectivity issues can cause all sorts of problems. Possibly it can be alleviated by accessing a low latency VPN service for a couple rounds just to see what happens.
Also, are you using WiFi?
No I'm hard wired straight to my router
That's good. Is the network shared with anyone? What's your speed?
I get around 150Mbps down, 30 up
It's a rock solid connection even when 4k streaming and gaming
I can try using my VPN to eliminate routing issues
That'd be worth a try IMHO. Let me know how it goes
I also checked that EAC and Squad were allowed through firewall
If you are able to join a server and you are not kicked within 2 minutes I would assume it's not a regular firewall rule.
Although there may be firewall related issues that do not happen when using a VPN
It's a strange issue and my gut is saying an issue with the game, connection is perfectly fine for a few games, then it just stops working, no server allows me to join
Another topic would be monitoring your traffic over the period you are playing. In and outgoing connections and traffic size
never had issues with other online games
Yet, Squad is kinda specific in how it's networking is built
So it may be sensitive to something another game isn't
Ok well thanks for your time, with any luck a solid vpn connection solves it
maybe its to do with my DNS? I just use my regular providers DNS
No worries. If it happens with VPN lmk.
Although I'm not sure what else there would be to try at that point.
If you lose VPN connection during your play that would be a good indicator.
Please consider monitoring your traffic
Shouldn't, but never say never. I don't know exactly if the EOS would ever pull new connections and fail if it wasn't able to.
