No you can't run windows desktop but there are a few alternatives like kasm
Desktop image? What's that
There is already a community template for this, no need to install it yourself
How do I find it?
Where you get Ubuntu desktop
But I was wondering if there is windows desktop
I need desktop able to do everydream2 and a1111
You can't run Windows on RunPod, only Linux.
I got that part
Is there an image with CUDA 11.8?
@late horizon you think this is possible without reinstalling CUDA?
To get 11.8 on desktop
You don't need CUDA 11.8, CUDA is backwards compatible just not forwards compatible.
I am unable to run everydream2 on a desktop image. I get CUDA errors
And cudnn errors
im not sure, i havent used ubuntu dekstop
but there should be some ways to use that
try googling
Every single solution is to uninstall current graphics drivers and install older ones. Now if I span to make new pods regularly and install a new venv everytime that is going to waste a lot of time right?
I think graphics drivers are from the hosts, you can filter using from the filters in create pods filter
Make your own docker image then you don't need to reinstall things each time
