Stashes are empty by default. Getting stashes is the main way of progressing in GAMMA. White stashes can contain helpful gear, while yellow stashes are guaranteed to have a toolkit in addition to regular stash contents. Stash locations are determined based on where you are when you receive the coordinate, they always generate in or near the area you are currently located.

How to get stash coordinates:

1. Complete tasks (this is the main source of stash coordinates)
2. Loot dead bodies
3. Read looted PDAs (right click -> View them in inventory). If it's locked, go to a mechanic to unlock it
4. Buy coordinates from Sid or Cold (only available in the south)

How to get yellow stashes:

1. Complete 7 tasks
2. Get a stash coordinate afterwards - this can be from any source, e.g. the 8th task, a PDA, looting a body
3. That stash coordinate has a 50% chance to be a yellow stash. If you didn't get it, keep doing step 2 until you get a yellow stash

An ongoing bug causes some stashes to spawn on random objects, anomalies or NPC's, resulting in the loss of any items they might've held.

To identify if the stash is indeed bugged you can do this:

1. Right Click the stash marker on your PDA Map
2. Select Set Waypoint
3. Right Click the waypoint you just added
4. Select Waypoint Settings
5. Enable Show waypoints marker on HUD
6. Press OK
7. The on-screen waypoint will point towards the stash

its actually quite enjoyable because its not the same anomaly field every time

actually only the last slider is a bit OP because it can make artifacts spawn in southern zones where they normally wouldn't

so thats why savescumming is a thing you can do

to get things in better condition

you can also force armor/weapons to drop in better condition, which in gamma by default has no real impact, the impact only shows if you change the drop condition in MCM

if you change armor drop condition values in MCM, you can get armor to drop with 65% or more durability, meaning it can be fixed without armor kits

this is of course unethical, and makes the game less fun

but its a thing you can do
