The thing is, you can't think rationally about this in Tarkov. It would take 2 of them bullets to put someone down but. Not because of penetration but stopping power, an armor won't make you invincible, it'll try to hold the bullet but the force will put you down whether you like it or not. Arma does it nice where you don't die but go down in pain, even unconscious.
It's just mechanics, you can't go down because you are solo. It's like they didn't plan on anything thinking about a group.
You see all the flash&clear entries at doors, they are or WERE planning for AI teammate integration but we wouldn't know for sure.
