I used to study the maps you could loot, check the landmarks, points of interest. Back when there were so few maps and they were so small, it was not that hard to know where you are.

Combat is different since in PvP its just unpredictable at times, it was much different during early tarkov days

It always has been the "Keep hammering until you forge something" way

Spent maybe 2000 hours on PvP by now, but switched to PvE for occasional chill

Maps on the wiki are massively more detailed, so learning the routes can be done here

Build up your understanding of the game in steps, rather than whole portions right away
