When it comes to SPT updates, the SPT devs bring the game up to date with whatever the latest version of Tarkov is out. So, any updates to the engine, new/extensions for maps, new features, new UI, new bosses, ammo, guns, bug fixes, etc, get added to SPT.
So, the answer to your question is, if you liked the new updates for Tarkov, then the new update to SPT is good.

Id probably still not play that map unless necessary for a quest. I was thinking about it earlier today and it dawned on me I've quit the game every single time I've run up a bunch of lighthouse quests.
If they removed that map and all the quests with it, the entire game would improve by 30%. I can go my whole life without all those loot spawns if I didn't have to play lighthouse ever again.
