At least with my limited experience, the best trick for surviving as a pleb, is to keep moving relatively quickly through low traffic areas, or go super slow bush rat. If you amble slowly through low traffic areas, you get caught by folks rushing through the high traffic and poking through. But keeping a decent pace tends to mean you fall between the folks rushing through as gigachad tryhards, and the folks who amble through with good kit, but ain't in a rush.

Playing safe with gear is often a losing argument though, fake it 'till you make it is higher risk, but if you lose all the kit, you can always fall back to scavvin' and toz runs. But running mid tier means you still get clapped by high tier gear, and still die to bullshittery. So run good, or run trash.

At least, that's what got me from literally hating my existence in tarkov, to having a decent amount of fun.

I'm a few wipes behind though these days. I stopped playing live a while back.

Being able to pause is kinda a must for my gaming schedules.

If you want to die, just rush the main streets in the first minute and you'll have all the chads there running to the best spots

Also on streets there's almost no scavs, they are all tightly grouped on the same spots, so you can basically avoid everyone if you want to.
