FWIW I bought tarkov and was incredibly disappointed with it. Would not recommend. A game's entry barrier should not involve memorizing maps to such a high degree. To say nothing of the hacker problem that they have rn.

There's also no return policy so that's a good enough tell that the company behind it are scum.

The biggest issue I have with Tarkov is that, resources are suppose to be scarce. Find scraps and try to build yourself from them

But a few weeks in and everybody runs lvl 3 guns with decent ammo, everything bought from traders

I understand that gamers will be gamers and we will see gigachads once in a while. But it's the same system for the last 7 years. People got used to the game mechanics and the information spreads a lot faster now.

So, instead of having a few weeks with Mosins and PACAs, it's a week with them, a week with UMPs and M4s and the third week is meta guns

There's no supply and demand, scrapping for resources, hatchling and stuff. You can run whatever you want, whenever you want

I won't get into the poor AI design, the "cheating" problem everybody talks about and stuff like this. It's just... the original design of the game lost it's way over the years and it's just fucking sad
