Hmm, whats most "realistic" reshade rn? I tried Norfair's core_v3 but its a bit too desaturated for my taste, f.e. campfire lights are too pale etc., so i switched to AtmosR++ and it seems fine, but maybe there's something better

disable the "Saturation limiter" in the reshade effect list and in the game options, go to graphics> Basic light button and crank your saturation value all the way up

honestly i dont notice a difference with saturation limiter on vs off except some luts it makes the sky bluer

Well, the difference is when people crank up their saturation slider in the game settings, that's when sat limiter really shines
No differece there for me, unlike AA vs TFAA, so i only care about looks it thus case
you can crank up your sat slider to max and you won't have the ugly ass hellscape campfires and sidorovich/skadovsk lights with that red hellish glow
I use my sat limiter on a specific value for my presets, that won't allow that to happen, while still keeping a decent enough sky and campfire colors
yeah i run your presets with 1 gamma and 1 sat, idk if its a placebo effect cause you said thats what you do but it looks better to me.
It's gonna change for next atmos version, since hippo is dropping ES Colorgrading, right now i'm using 1.4 saturation with one of his tests
So the sat limiter will help a lot
But yeah, you can run any saturation with this effect enabled, try it out
obv running too much saturation makes it look awful
The other thing i noticed with your reshade is that, when TFAA and DRME are enabled, campfires flicker much more intensely, to the point its kinda irritating to look at, even though i don't have epilepsy 
That's not my reshade though, its just how drme works, happens on all presets using it.
and it can be avoided with the improved campfires mod from moddb or by tweaking drme settings

To use a preset simply locate the download for the one you picked it'll be a '.ini' file, you just need to drop that into your Anomaly\bin folder , example C:\Anomaly\bin
I'm having such a hard time finding a reshade preset that has natural contrast. Most of them seem to look good in daytime scenes, but at night they're either super washed out, or there's an abrupt transition on shadows between washes out and just completely pitch black.

Norfair MULTI_beta reshade pack, Core_3 - very natural, nice looking, universal when it comes to weather and quite bright. Had the same problem as you, with Core_3 its no longer an issue

disabling every possible toggleable option (detail bump, steep parallax, tesselation, soft particles and water, grass shadows, volumetric light and smoke) have not made even a 1 FPS difference on performance
so you literally might as well have all of this on max so you can say you're running max graphics lol

i get 30 fps iwth atmos+ and 60+ with my own personal preset

other minor things can come into play, like the fact that if you use the mask overlay you lose ~5 fps
but thats minor considering its immersive

- increase grass height and density
- use a ReShade preset with the right colors and sharpness/AO/AA
you can open the ReShade menu by pressing Home in-game

Edited the "exposure" for the viewing pleasure of the photograph, made the moon a tiny bit brighter and the colors of the picture a bit colder, and damnnnnnn, it looks scenic
SMAA on Ultra, AA on 2x and like 3-4 basic shaders with slight edits made to them
I do, however have it tuned a bit "darker" in-game when I play in terms of brightness
does anyone have a copy of the original atmosR++.ini file? I accidently ruined mine and forgot to make a backup

It should work, but i think reflections wouldnt be seen, since they are added by SSS (SSR module i think), but they would see that "its wet"

@gray kite To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Every preset I've used is too washed out / blue so decided to spend a bit of time making a fully custom one
how are you able to play with this insane amount of bloom/brightness

can see why it would be hard to play with on a small monitor though

Not a fan of no bloom at all because it looks bland without it, makes the levels a bit more cinematic

with a gun in front of you irl in resting position you're not going to see it and with high ready stance you're not going to see the stock almost at all
so it's not really how videogames picture it
I know just vanilla settings have it up in your face and I like the look of the modded gun models so I run a high hud fov compared to most

ReShade errors like these just usually just mean that particular effect will not work
not that it will impact performance or something
if you want to use these effects you should figure out why they're not working
you can get most effects online and manually place them in the shader folder for use

Meowies Repositions are made for default gamma, he also made for some weap mods . If there's overwritting, it's on purpose (new models/anims)

Weapon repos are dltx scripts, oaded in alphabetical order. Weapons will utilize any repositions loaded last
If the mod looks complicated, dont install it. It was just a suggestin

there is an inbuilt bodycam shader already which you can add a CRT and CA effect to to enhance the visuals further, i think it's called AtmosBODY or something

how to make my game more "green"
just use reshade. either use Lightroom to change the saturation of green colors, create a LUT, or use a preset LUT from Cinematic_LUT_Pack or Cinetools_LUT. it's also possible to use one of the Color Grade shaders in ReShade too if you just want a green hue.

If it's the first then you can use reshade to make your games hue more green like some twilight shit but if you want just foliage changed then reinstall aydins grass tweaks in Mo2 and select spring or summer grass/trees

so to download the arrival mod i have to remove the dynamic anomalies overhaul, this mod allows anomalies to change after emmisions and spawn artifacts at random places, if i uninstall this will this no longer be in my game or will the arrival mod replace it?
