like high caliber pistols and shotguns with buckshot are might the best answer you can have against mutants, but against stalkers they lack impact fairly quick.

I am doing a Kar playthrough right now and Sig220 is a perfect companion there. If you are going to join Clear Sky, they sell two different tactical upgrade kits for this gun and turn it into a verifiable beast.
You can assemble a shotgun for yourself in the Swamp pretty fast (find one with a mostly OK barrel, attach other components) but getting a SIG would require a lot of luck.
Although I did find a fully specced tactical P99 on one of the bandits, so maybe the chance of getting high-end handguns is higher than I thought.

If the game crash-shutdown to desktop without errors or any log what could it be?. Its like a clean shutdown xd. One moment Im playing next second Im in desktop. It never happens before

the log is still there, it gets created when you launch the game
the log is always here as soon as you start the game: Anomaly/appdata/logs/log_name.txt
when people in here talk about logs etc they mean this file not anything popping up on screen

i've had multiple crashes running it in DX10, i tried everything on #old-framerate-optimisation to keep it running smoothly, sleeping crashes it a lot, i had no choice but to go back to DX8

Yes, started two new saves as Monolith, both crashed after taking damage from certain things. Took pseudodog swipes just fine but pseudogiant ground pounds are crashing the game.

It would seem that way, but I'm not 100% on that.
Not sure how damage from gunshots is calculated under the hood & if impact damage is a part of that.

not really, impact is only things being thrown at you and pseudogiant stomps, if i remember correctly its also fall damage? not certain on the last one

you can just delete the mods folder, never delete the downloads folder
delete mods > update gamma data > complete installation

no, after the first changes to damage some damage to actor didnt cause bleeding anymore so this added bleeding is a fix
so, I can't bleed some cheeki breeki to death
if you shoot them just enough they will surrender or bleed to death already, but not normal bleeding like the actor

i don't really know LUA but it's generally pretty readable. it looks like it's crashing when it's trying to update your armor conditon. what kind of armor are you wearing?
it also has part hit = nil in the log. do you have any mods disabled?
I am taking those hits without wearing any armor, haven't tested whether the ground pounds will still crash game if I have a set on.

Yep, that won't do. You are constantly losing health while sleeping if you aren't fully refreshed before sleeping.
While you are losing health your limbs won't recover.

Time passes by very quickly while sleeping, but so does hunger and thirst.
If you get thirsty or hungry early during sleep, you'll lose health while recovering it at the same time—finding a sort of equilibrium.

Not the white ones. When it turns yellow you lose health.
Generally you should eat/drink whenever you see those icons appear.

yes i took a militar aid kit, was fully healed, slept, woke up and only had 80% life, limbs still damaged. no radiation

Not sure. I don't think they do, unless after a very long time has passed.
Try to disguise yourself as a Bandit and then assassinate the target, taking off the disguise while in hiding will reset their aggression.

since i usually dont use rusted junk, as soon as i get it - think i know what you mean, but at the same time im not quite sure.
I do know that pressing the reload button while your weapon is jammed it basically does "nothing" for the gun it self. Pressing the Unjam button will clear your weapon and depinding on how severe the jam is you might need to reload as well after (i think its called super jam, and is usually disabled - tho you will hear "jamming with you" from bob, which if not prepared can be an actual horror trip)

its an anomaly feature i believe, you have to either click the ammo you already have or press esc, pressing y again changes the ammo i suppose as a quick way to change ammo type

Could you potentially run into problems if you have anomaly installed on the c: drive? I know that with Bethesda games it’s recommended to install those games on a drive other than c: because the windows security can mess things up when you mod those games. Is it similar with this game? After installing this modpack my game keeps crashing after a certain amount of play time and when I go to start the game back up it crashes on start up. When I look at the crash logs it’s been saying that it can’t find texture or sound files. I then I have to reinstall anomaly then the modpack then everything works fine again.

because spawns are heavy and tushkanos spawn in packs of 7 or 8

No, you cannot combine 2 modpacks and Expedition will 100% not work with Gamma. I think it has a ReShade only option, which you can usem since it doesn't change any files besides the ReShade @acoustic timber

So I've worked my way through most of the early game stumbling and figuring stuff out and had a question I had some trouble finding. So do disassembling tools all universally disassemble everything or do you need different ones? Like say do both grooming kits and multitools disassemble everything or different stuff? I've been trying to watch their durability when disassembling stuff but it seems like the multitool is prioritised for everything far as I can tell.

Yeah, part of the reason I was curious was if there's a way to designate something to be the disassemble tool first before others. It seems like grooming kits are the cheapest and most efficient thing to disassemble with, but the inventory prioritises using the multitool first which has other uses like repairing weapon parts. It's not a big deal and I'm just being min/maxy but it was something that crossed my mind my last couple of hours of playtime.
multitool can disassemble everything, other disassembly items only disassemble specific types of items but are not used first because they are used as crafting ingredients

expedition is a modpack, won't be compatible, but you can use the reshade from expedition if you want, it will look off but you can fix it by tweaking the reshade to your liking

modular does not mean you can just rip off an important part of the pack without having to remove quite a few patches and addons that depend on the addon you are trying to disable, if you want to remove or add something thats not already in gamma you can ask but dont expect to be able to make gamma into something else without proper patching
there are quite a few addons that can be removed or added at this very moment and some of them are already in the optional/ good addons with bugs separators
My playstyle preferences are a bit odd, so I don't expect Gamma to cater to my exact needs and whims, I was mainly interested in the automated update feature and presorted load order, which those 2 things alone would be a giant timesaver for me.

the dirt/dust on the masks is an interesting idea but there's reshade settings now that could definitely do what they are going for better
I like playing with the mask overlays on too, but there's a few where the added effects get in the way and make seeing a lot harder than it needs to be
almost positive there's a lens dirt setting for reshade somewhere out there. would likely work a lot better
just personally lack the skills or knowledge to edit the overlays without completely ruining them

that door is open in vanilla anomaly as well
yeah on the one hand you skip the dungeon
on the otherhand the dungeon has, as cat said, like...two poltergeists at the front
and then it's just empty

Automatic updater only works for the add-ons of the pack and it will scramble your load order everytime

Is it intended that even stashes contain weapons in bad condition. I find only worthless stuff. But i am also in the early hours
you have to repair, you cant bypass that mechanic even with guns looted from stashes

Do you also get dips in the 30- 40 fps at some places? I.e garbage rain nightime at cordon intersection?
i get dips in dark valley bandit base, i assume its because of the large number of stalkers there
if you havent yet, try the #old-framerate-optimisation core 0
also rain by default reduces fps
