I switched from compass mod to minimap mod and now I can't load my savegames.

either the software needs an update or run a file check (i dont remember the exact details i found this fix when searching on google) you can search the exact error with your GPU and see if any helpful fixes show up in google

where can i find active charcoal for gasmasks? besides gasmasks? all the ones i find are at 1%
I dont know if it still happens much, but something that might be useful (or not) took 2 sec, incase it's wanted/needed ever in future as a way to stop the issue of people disabling water and sleep and then breaking their save xD

This is SSS shaders. You can try the latest version on Moddb, I feel like they toned down those reflections a little bit
There is instructions on the mod page to adjust the ssr intensity too, didn't tried personally

yeah better edit the shaders config directly
if you get unlucky with components like that you can repair another piece of gear that has that same component until that component is above 50% and then disassemble it to get a repairable component. for example if you had another gas mask like the m40 that just needs some more common components and an activated charcoal just replacing the two common components will put it around 60% and increase the quality of the activated charcoal on the item. you can then repair it (if you need to) until the activated charcoal is above 50% and then disassemble the mask to get it's components back.
Anything wrong been getting horrible frames

yeah, you would use the work bench from your basic tools and the appropriate maintenance kit to replace the components

the problem is that the charcoal filters on all the gas masks are %1, they can't be swapped out
i could disassemble my respirator for the charcoal filter, but i'd rather not
i'm gonna wait to farm some gas masks with charcoal filters at least %50 condition so i can fix the individual parts

this helmet has a charcoal filter at 1%. you can replace all the other parts and repair it. now all components are 100% and you can disassemble it to get the parts back.

I used bandage which seemed to stop bleeding but it seems using first aid kit fills up the body meter and stops those bars deteriorating further

We have a spreadsheet for armors in #│📚manual and you can check the artifacts efffects via the debug, if that helps

What Dx do you guys use for stability
On rc 1, loads were 10 seconds for me. Now it feels close to a minute after Rc3.
Loading is actually fast as before. But now there's a pretty long period of just unresponsive waiting before the loading screen comes up.

No, it's more likely the DAZ mate. My game is on SSD, my Win is minimal just for games, and the loading times even for DX11 no avx are about 5x what they were before DAZ was introduced.

Okay thanks for the tip with ESC key, looks like issue with it and game pause. Music stopped after i alt tabbed, but not because of alt tab itself but because game somehow got paused after window lost focus.

i think i saw PAUSE displayed like once in big red
i also play in Borderless
But its not always pausing after alt tab.
And more weird thing that pressing PAUSE and ESC key at the same time breaks and unbreaks music. 
But that didnt happened to me in vanilla in hundred hours of gameplay

Target a corpse and escape to main menu, then F7 to open the debug menu. At the top left you will see your current target, for example zat_b106_stalker_crab12345, removing the numbers gives you the Character_ID that you will use to respawn them in Object Spawner. You can also use Show Info in the Target Section of the menu.
While you are in the Debug menu, you can get the logic settings using Logic/Execute in the Editor Section, even though they are dead the logic will remain. Once you have all the information you can delete the corpse and respawn them.
Gamma was not intended for IronMan or Invictus run as a baseline

Hi, general question, Im in my hobo phase in my Sin playthrough. With the current changes to how damage works im concerned for my survival. Rads are a big pain already. Should i update or wait till we get it balanced

if yes well nothing that makes you concerned feels good in a hardcore run
if no: honestly everything you survive now, you will most likely survive later on as well, as in push towards a good mask for now

Consider the sheer amount of mods in Gamma, and that each mod changes something from vanilla, the amount of scripts,config files, textures, shaders, logic, etc etc. So, adding one mod that a "geek" has not debugged for compatibility could give you large headaches.

For anyone else with this issue, it's solved by opening the inventory and moving your cursor to an empty space. I suspect it has something to do with the "show restored stats" function of the ALT key

Depends on what ammo types you have easy access to in your traders and what your starting loadout is
finding something like a sks tactical or slightly worse sks would be big for example in the hobo phase
any shotgun if you don't have one etc

the m4 tactical is very good, repairable with an army kit so adv tools at the latest
its pretty common to find on freedom and monolith
also mercs
better m4 variants like butcher and hera (not sure on name but its the super expensive one you will know when you see it) are rarer but I think currently all m4 variants use rifle repair kit so they are all good options if you get one
same factions just higher level members
You need to have a specific rep for they could spawn or they have them normally
they can spawn on enemies at any time, your scavenging skill can cause certain high end stuff to be rarer to actually loot from bodies if its really low but you will still find them
your rep with your faction mainly determines what ammo you have easy access to
if you don't have access to 5.56 its not a big deal though as breaking down 5.45 and 7.62 lets you craft plenty

advanced is an option to craft because you need it to progress, locking advanced toolkits behind RNG only can leave you stuck with really bad gear for a really long time
Some people just get unlucky enough to not get an advanced before heading North

you are going to regret saying that at some point in your next gamma runs, its completely RNG and one run you are swimming in tools and the next you are not finding a basic one
It’s really RNG dependent and the good gas masks to get past red forest need an advanced to repair
If you’re lucky like Aldourien you can get fuck-easy kits super fast

Is it normal/known for the game to crash after a task? It's a generic task to kill bandits in Garbage, I've done it a few times now and got the same results. The game crashes to desktop as soon as I get the task completed notification.

when you get the installer, make sure all the paths and basic installation steps were done correctly in mo2 so it recognizes where the anomaly folder is, delete mods folder and then run the installer as an admin, update gamma data and complete gamma installation and if you have a scrambled load order after that #│🔧troubleshooting scrambled load order fix

Is there a point to collecting weapon parts if you can just use the kits to "maintain" and spawn 100% weapon parts? Cause you need the kits to replace them anyways
only keep part at minimum 60% (you can repair these with Multitool, Ramrod, or File, check under their details what kind of tool you need)
and sell the stuff below 60%
its more cost effective if you replace parts with existing ones, it does not consume repair kit charges
also you use the appropriate CLEANING KIT to maintain
for everyting below dirty you need a repair kit tho

you can only craft repair kits with toolkits, thats why the progression is locked behind toolkits in the first place

Is there something like this for STALKER: Anomaly? Fancy animations aside, just being able to tell what I have loaded in my pistol makes a huge difference. Used to be on the HUD in the OG games, but it's not there in GAMMA, and it would be nice to have some way of seeing this.
Because I just stuffed a chimera with a few dozen AP rounds — turns out I forgot to switch my pistol to FMJ after fighting with the military. I will never financially recover from this...

Though, people will tell you just press R, or press Y and it will tell you what ammo you have loaded in.
But if you want Ammo Check, in the Optional Mods for GAMMA, there is the Magazines mod
If you open the directory, and delete most of the scripts, but keep all the UI / Text stuff, you can delete all Magazines, but keep the Ammo Check function.
Ammo Check will tell you what Anmo Type is loaded in the gun and won’t tell you exactly, but an approximate amount of ammo you have.
