Hey is there a way to make f9 load most recent save instead of your last quicksave? I know it was a part of nitpickers pack but I have no way to choose what parts of that got installed

intended, each toolkit only weighs .5 so its not hard to have all 5 on you at all times or put them in a stash
I've never played Tarkov and don't quite understand what the Mags Redux mod does. Checked the Moddb page too but it wasn't too clear. Anyone able to give me a quick summary?
instead of weapons having a defined mag size you get removable/equipable mags
you need to load mags with ammo and then load the mags into the guns

so a benefit is you can put higher cap mags into guns that normally wouldn't have them but the negative is you have to manage ammo/mags and prep them before fights etc
also you get a lot of ammo with them in gamma...

they can be fun so if you feel like trying something new you can definitely try them but keep in mind you cant remove it from an existing save

well yeah, the game autosaves on level transition and when i hit f9 it puts me back to the last quicksave instead
when i go to reinstall no matter what mod it is it comes up as fdda patches installing

Every time I tried to make one of these wonderful sounding "camps", I had the same message about unsuitable terrain. Yet, every time I was trying to make a fire in what appeared to be flat, level ground with enough space around it for my tent. I gave up on the whole idea after about 5 fails, but for the future I would like to know the answer anyway 🙂
imo the problem with camps is it could be right next to an alife spawn and when you fast travel to your camp.... 
I have a problem with a bugged quest, my task was to take an outpost from the militaries in the swamp. I killed all the soldiers who were there and nothing happened, i visited the location many times but no one is there it's just empty. There is any chance to "repair" this?
Is this the quest that Clear Sky give you?
It's known to be bugged, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... I don't know how to solve it so I'll tag @graceful iron for this one since he knows everything
In the meantime, try it again, reload a previous save and go directly there ASAP

Can you enable-disable the tab that appears when you mouse over a weapon? it appears a windows with all the stats and characteristics that is anoying sometimes
I won't argue about why you want to remove such an important thing like details for the condition of your weapon but anyway, I don't know if there's something about tooltips it in game (probably not since it's, don't take it wrong, a stupid idea to remove a thing this important), try to check in options

What level of Radiation protection should we aim for before travelling to certain parts of the map? is there a rough estimate? like how much should you aim for to be able to safely traverse red forest, limansk, or jupiter/zaton?
just focus on balistic and rupture + those one shot anomalies like electro and fire
plus bring some vodka, upper north radiation is not really terrible
what can kill you is actually scar H and SVD monolith
Last I tried going up North I was hitting 500rads in a second of exposure… and that was only red forest, grok said radiation scales to be way higher the more North you you.
Anomalies aren't really a problem for me as I'm pretty good at dodging them, and I scan ahead with a scoped SKS for any contacts. main issue is just getting my ass gaped by super high radiation, right now I'm sitting at about 35-40% radiation prot, but I don't know how much I should be aiming for to not get trashed by rads up north.

I'm rocking a mercenary STS, and the default respirator, trying to get advanced tools to unlock supply level 3 in order to be able to buy medium armor repair kits so I can fix up a decent mask.
I haven't tried going up north on this save, but I was doing a merc run before and I was getting destroyed in red forest even with a gas mask.

I don't know the numbers and I'm not gonna ballpark it, all I know is that at least a SEVA + Screen helmet will get you through the patches just fine
And I'm not even using starter gear aside from my respirator, (because its the only one I have that isn't busted as hell. I have an M50z, but it's on like 8% and I cant see a damn thing out of it,)
The seva merc suit is great. Sphear helmet is wonderful and ger a skat9 armor or some exosuit

Back to the question about "my armor is like 90% rad protection and my respirator is -5%, what gives? This should be good enough!", we need Grok on this for a correct answer (or okay_cat or Aldourien because they're more experienced than me) but the thing SHOULD BE like this:
Grok made helmets a "separate thing" from the armours, if you notice now everything is "unattached" from armors, so we have armors AND helmets, this is to make them more useful and, I guess at this point, to make damage more realistic?
For example, helmets now are all abouts headshots, period, it doesn't stack up with your suit
If this is the case, like John-Vick is saying, the whole combo "armor 30% and helmet 15%" simply doesn't work, because now the thing it's like "you have a bad helmet with bad protection against radiation, you suck, get a better helmet, a simple respirator isn't enough" and it makes sense... in a way
In another way, I understand what John-Vick is saying because radiation hits you everywhere, it's not just a thing that hit your nose if you breath it, so, in this case, even the armour should be accountable for radiations as well and should be "stackable" too

the thing that kills me during testing in jupiter isn't radiation, but rather just psy emission level
So maybe thats the "progression level" grok was referring to,
needing higher psy prot levels to go further north, rather than just radiation.
Meaning your suit can cover you from radiation, but the psy levels are gonna hard lock you.

each faction gives a different reward for them, usually ecologists or clear sky give nice belt attachments for them with some money

So last night i took the artifact melter i just bought, and the 6 Battery artis i found, repaired 1 with the others to around 60-70%.
Put it in a crafted 2nd tier artifact applicator, put it on my belt, sprinted a few seconds, didnt seem to do anything much. It showed the above % while on my belt.
Took it off to see the difference visualized in stamina regen without it by sprinting another few sec, no noticeable difference - opened my inventory and the Battery was at its original 5-10% or so.. took it out, and sure enough the newly repaired to 60% one was now back in the range of all 6 original Batteries (10%~)
Did i do something wrong in the artifact repair? Or did i miss a step, or encounter a bug perhaps?

yes, you need just the corresponding cleaning kit and all parts above 60 %
and you can get all the parts except the barrel from other guns and replace them without a toolkit
field stripping and field replacing parts, drag the parts onto the gun but the gun cant be on a low condition so you will still need to pay a technician to clean it for you

i think it doesnt disappear, just the stats will be lowered, also artefacts are balanced because you can empower them with the artefact melter
i don't think it disappears considering that as little as 1% artefacts can be used to repair others

Hi, I updated my game. Grok said, Spas12 will now require Historic Weapons kit instead of Army Rifle kit. The tooltip of my stashed Spas still displays the Army Kit as the necessary one. Is new game required for the change?
The update seems to have worked as smoking is now 10 secs as Grok changed that too

while inside the gun : have a repair or cleaning kit (you can check which ones you need by right click details on the gun) and then right click maintain weapon clean/replace parts
ramrod, file and multitool can repair parts if they are above 60% . if you give a mechanic an advanced kit they will sell a repair kit that can repair parts till 10%

@graceful iron fyi, it looks like complete reinstallation helped my busy hands bugs. I played for a few hours and never got it. Maybe I'm just lucky, but the game feels much smoother too, for some reason.

Back in the day, pre-anomaly, COC modding always had some weird-ass problems with majority of model packs. Either unstable and demanding, or even glitchy. Usually had more load on GPU (i love it quiet, but thing sound like a heli under a load). So basically just a personal preference from bygone era :P

I've just come across a burer in the great swamps and the sound effect wont stop looping. Is there a reason for this? Its that weird whispering.
Reload hasn't fixed it either, neither has sleeping.
Figured I'd ask here first. Anyone having trouble with your night vision activating? I hold down the N key to turn it on. Sound effect plays, animation plays (since I like having them on.) But I don't get any night vision.
any way to fix the shadows being weird on the edges of the screen?

i'll keep my fingers crossed, although from what i've read it seems like a problem with the engine itself which is tragic
Yeah there's no really no way to fix it as of now i believe, but honestly you kinda get used to it after a while
Alright I think it's a basic question, what sort of settings should we use? Just the ones that come in the install? I always get confused on whether to us HDAO/HBAO/tesellation/paralex mapping etc etc
