Any ideas as to why the mercs and ecologists at Yantar shoot me on sight but I'm cool with regular mercs and ecos? For context I started as a merc and my relations are all at least neutral. I even tried disguising as a loner and they still all turn hostile if I approach the scientist lab
This isn't the first time I've been to the lab either, I got the psy helmet already. Tried waiting several days and they are still hostile.
Looks like his goodwill is tanked. Any idea why this might have happened?
How do you already have 4 companions?
as a loner you can have 3-4 companions within the first hour or so, take fanatic with you, never do anything else on his training day missions, take the 2 tourists with you from wolfs "tourist safari" (you might have to wait a few hours before he gives you the task) and free the rookie who got kidnapped (also task from wolf) thats 4, if you get realy lucky and find the shotgun, ammo and a can of tuna you can take Hip with you
also giving random bleeding out stalkers a medkit do give you a great chance to make them companions after the fight
usually they only start hating you with a passion if you somehow kill one of their own
hip, 2 from a scort mission and 1 for rescue
yeah and if you realy lucky you can take a set of up to 5 dudes (guiding task) with you as well
I don't recall killing anyone at Yantar. I checked a few of their relations and pretty much all the named NPCs at Yantar hate my guts and shoot on site
do you have the possibility to load an earlier save (without loosing progress) to check how they react to you there?
now that i think about it, i do sometimes see random loners trying to blast hatchet and co in yantar
tho it does not happen often
Oh they've been hostile for a while now. I just came back after 3 or 4 days to check if that reset them
I might just need to reset goodwill on each of them manually

the shotgun needed got changed to the Toz194 you can find it on basicly every other bandit squad @neat furnace
but the 20rounds of buckshot are not optional anymore it appears, she will only take the damn thing if you have the ammo as well
tan of tuna can get be bought at barkeep, most of the time its also random loot at the farm/100Rads Bar

Extremely high rupture defenses and good balistic for early game (Beril 5m armor) . I can wear that armor and get hit by boar for days / i quote the wrong line

I know but the grind seem very tedious. You need great luck to find two of a same kind of artifact and melt them together for like 3 to 4 time to get 100%
you can always fuse junk artifacts (which are many off if you just use a echo detector) for the things in tier 1 you are missing

What i'm trying to avoid is much with decent bullet protection, so it's unique but good for a different reason than using it to stop bullets.
But then again its other stats are a bit too good..
and Fenced LC suit seems a bit weak..
if there is any way for you to mess with the condition of the suit you could also just give it to the actor at lets say 80%

so, I noticed that armors are really inconsistent with how they display stats, sometimes it's bars sometimes it's percentages, what makes it flipflop like that

since the helmet only protects your noggin
I play with body health disable (taking yaludin after every fight make me feel dizzy) so a steel helm is pretty good for early game
But with body health enable i think the combo is great

you change through available scopes/sighs with that button and some pistol let you go full gobnik
not realy some pistols come with a lazer and this makes it easier to aim them at night (if you use night vision)

The detailed weapon repair systems are very cool, they appeal to my autism, although it does create a situation where the one gun you pick at character creation might define your playthrough a bit too much for scarcity reasons
But it's far better than standard anomaly, where you ignore everything and just take the best route of buying what you want
for a few in game days, unless you figure out you can field repair guns if you get good enough parts for them when they already have a decent barrel (functional or dirty)
I'm actually thinking about gun parts now, looking out for certain ones, getting engaged with the systems. That's good stuff

collect all parts that are above 60, get a gun with a dirty or functional barrel and pay a mechanic to clean the gun for you, drag and drop the repaired parts onto the gun (you can repair parts if they are above 60 with ramrods, files and the multitool)

Nope. You can very well repair any gun early. Just get a gun with a barrel above 60. You can repair it to fully 100% without the repair kit

you need to first enable it in the game settings, mostly just put it on visited only and then you open the pda and right click on the green house icons of places you already visited.

fast travel limit mod is a thing so fast travel will cost money and will have a 12h cooldown minimum but you can change the cost in mcm or disable the mod completely in mo2

Sorry not at my pc to look at this myself but is it possible to change how the stash settings work?
I feel like being given the exact location makes them feel a little skyrim questy that I'm just running around ticking off. I would prefer an approx location around the size of an anomaly field. I miss that feeling of that looks like a good place for a stash let me climb up there and see.
there are currently RF side quests that give something similar to this, you get a random area with a random part of it and a RF to search for a hidden package
also, i think gamma has a mod that adds even more stash locations and some of them are not easy to find even if they are marked on the map
That's a good point actually I've only done one of those and forgot about them, I liked that process of tracking it down.
So it's still worth checking the unmarked ones? I thought I read somewhere they wouldn't have any loot in them.

Yeah I don't know what a better alternative is. I can appreciate some people have played this game for over a decade and there aren't any more stash locations that could be hidden to them so the marker is a nice convenience.
I have no clue if its even possible to do but dynamic ones that were only there for a few hours and you had to figure out the location based off radio chatter would be extremely cool.
I didn't appreciate the framedrops so I disabled the shaders and deleted shader cache, but the game is just a blackscreen except for the ui.

"just gotta find it" is bullshit this is barely playable. either i have to spend 1000 to use a workbench just to be told i dont have the repair kit or i can ask someone to upkeep my stuff but its parts are still fucked. but when i find parts i cant replace them. i cant buy guns and armor so playing the game is not an option to progress. what is the point of this? i am on the easiest difficulty and STILL cant progress because of the lack of supplies. the traders dont sell part repair kits and i cant craft those. WTF
you don't need the vice, you can craft from a toolkit like basic tools. at the start you can find basic and advanced tools from stashes and from there you can craft repair kits to repair guns but sometimes you don't even need the kit. read the ingame guide in the pda about repairing

When you get how to progress in GAMMA its like no other mods. Maybe it will not be for you. But I believe you will like it.

You need to craft the armor repair kit that fits as well. light / medium / heavy / exo

What I did isn't that good honestly, scripts would be better. I made guns into a new category in trade_preset.ltx and made traders uninterested in that category and unable to sell them. Same for armors
The easiest would be to adapt Trader Destockifier though. But LTX edits are more secure and less costly than more scripts

Check the codec on your uploaded video if it's avc or vp09.
Usually you'd need to upload a video at least 1440p to get youtube to compress it under vp09 which is the good codec. I usually just render it as 1440p via vegas before uploading
You have to rightclick the youtube vid in the browser on pc btw and click the view stats thing to display the codec

Also you can still go north, just carry vodka and anti rads. They're dirt cheap
That is the alternative aim function most likely. It's bound to the grenade launcher key and allows certain guns to rotate off axis. Primarily to allow a view with the target without the magnification of a scope.

Brand new here and to stalker anomaly. I saw someone comment about grinding and it being tedious. Are the full anomaly options still present when using this mod? Can I play warfare and story mode? I guess my question is, can I enjoy most of this mod while ignoring or making the grind less?

There's "grindy" and actual good progression.
The only part of gamma that is grindy is getting a belt full of endgame 100% Artefacts, which you don't need to enjoy the game

stash locations are kind of random getting them does not mean you get them at your current location, they can be EVERYWHERE in the zone

So it works like this:
You run into a firefight and friendly stalkers help you out, you can loot everything you killed, but everything they killed will be claimed by them, they warn you a few times and then start shooting if you keep trying
YOU gotta be the one to dome them if they steal
so if you loot your kills and then wait a bit further away you can loot the scraps
too bad you will lose rep for that
you will also lose rep if memory serves right if you "steal"
If they could code it so they didn't take your loot I'd be all for it
anyway since they can loot my kills anyway i turned it off again and went back to be a happy rat

Sometimes when I loot PDA's off of stalkers and I glance through them I see certain messages on them talking about "strange signals", and I was wondering if they actually correlate to something I can find, or if they're just random and mean nothing.

Spent like a good 1 real time hour searching for a source of a strange signal in wild territory and though the. RF was beeping like I am on top of it I couldn't find anything
There is a message that pops up in the bottom left sometimes talking about RF coordinates, and I know those are real, (Grok even mentions them in the #│📚manual) So that might be what you're talking about, as they are sometimes really hard to find. but the ones I'm talking about are specifically mentioned only in random PDAs you loot from dead Stalkers.
all i can say is i did find stuff, but it either was hard to find, or it was not worth the effort, some did take a bit of parcours to reach
tho i do have the suspicion that they do not /did not always spawn

Yeah, sometimes the RF coordinate tasks are really painful to do, and can the reward can be lackluster after that, I remember getting one all the way in the far eastern reaches of Darkscape, then spending about 30 minutes running around with my RF reciever going nuts before I finally found the package (ontop of some rocks). and it just had some Brunox, and Glue, and a Ramrod or something.
How can I cure my sleep deprivation? no matter how much I sleep the sleep bar is never full when I wake up. It's either half or less.
It becomes annoying when the screen keeps blurring 5 minutes after waking up

usually happens if you "woke up" early, you either pump your self full with caffeine or take a nap after a while
also note that taking sleeping pills can and will mess up your sleeping schedule, so only use them to sleep if your really really need to

anyway keeping a healthy sleep schedule is hard, and missing one or two bars after waking up is not that uncommon
i usually try to make sure i have a somewhat full food and water bar, to prevent my self to wake up early
or take damage the moment i wake up
and try to let my actor sleep for 7-8hours if possible
i usually average out at one bar missing
Yeah it's really the blurring that gets to me. There should also be more sources to energise you don't know if there is coffee or something like that still in early game and will be a long time before I cross into red forest
there is no coffee in the zone, one of the tipps during loading screens even makes fun of that fact
also note that red forest is affected by a psyfield in gamma

For the most part yes, but It depends man. Personally ive played gamma enough to tweak it to my pref. I found too many stalkers and you can end up with too much loot, making the game too easy so i sort of reduce the stalkers but increase their squads, because i also increase mutants a bit to cause more resource drain and increase difficulty, and bump their squad variables so sometimes i will get a big pack of dogs or sometimes it will just be 1, it depends how you play around to find something that suits your play style.
Less stalkers but in bigger groups, and more mutants but varies between a few, more than a few, a lot, and a platoon 😄
also note that changing populations has the most impact on the start of a new run, since the populations will be put in at the start
The best way to check stalkers is when you spawn it will say 'there are X stalkers in the zone' Personally i go for anywhere between 500-600 but i think default gives about 850ish

On the tool is written the % the part needs to be, to be eligible to repairs
Guns parts = 60%
Armors parts = 50%
You can repair an AK on day 2 or 3 if you know the mechanism
Collect parts above 60%.
Collect a gun with a barrel above 60%.
Buy gun cleaning kit, clean the barrel in the weapon (right click > clean parts).
Repair parts to 100%
Drag and drop parts on the gun
Clean the gun condition to 100%
