if you played enough of anomaly gamma wont be a problem, its just learning new mechanics and using some existing ones a bit more
but its definitely not easier or similar difficulty to anomaly
The mechanics is what I’ve had problems with so far I’ve played CoC a lot more then anomaly
currently RC3 has a mix of vanilla/maids/cr3pis icons
you can use maids but i think you will need to reinstall it and disable gamma icons
Or keep Gamma icons for the new medic icons and indicators (which are now not correct in maids, I found out the hard way

busy hands, make sure to load a save before it happened and you can disable fdda, rework and immersive sleep patch to try and avoid the bug

yes, the marker was completely off, which is weird, in my first playthrough in rc1 it was at the end of the tunnel where it's supposed to be

Yes, the marker system is a bit bugged, since it has to be tied to a specific entity, like location or squad. But since the anomaly is not marked on the map, you can't place the marker there exactly (or at least I think that's what's happening)
how much more intensive is this modpack than vanilla anomaly?

are enemies supposed to be surviving headshots with 5.45 ammo even when they're just wearing crappy M40 gas masks? I am literally sticking the barrel into their face and pulling the trigger and have to shoot them two or three times
trying to kill the military outpost in dark valley but they are practically bulletproof compared to RC2
I even use AP ammo and it will not penetrate their helmets

Hi, never used GAMMA before, but something that irked me during my first proper playthrough of STALKER was (Mortal Sin spoilers) ||that during the Sin questline, I couldn't enter the monolith war bunker, even while using the right codes (date of the chornobyl accident), and it turns out that I needed that one file that I 'accidentally' sold or forgot somewhere. Is this fixed in the addons?||

the irradiated areas are dynamic you are probably in a hotspot
used a military stimpak and water
if you are moving around in the south and it keeps happening you probably have an artifact
im standing at the merc post in army warehouse. been a fan long enough to know where the areas are that are irradited
army warehouse is highly irradiated
I remember there was a setting that had natural background rads during the day that happens when you don't have a good gas mask, check that?

@royal halo +G.A.M.M.A. Radiation Dynamic Areas is literally one of the mods in the modpack. If you know from standard anomaly playthroughs where the areas are they will not be correct. Thanks for being condescending pricks to people trying to help though

in my current playthrough the spot he mentioned by the road to dead city is super high in radiation. So personal experience says you are not. You do you though
if you haven't tried just moving to e.g. top the merc base to check I can't help you
your mask is not good for army warehouses
I have a mask with better rad protection and regularly take rad dmg in these zones

its not the whole area. There are randomly generated spots of radiation in gamma
none of them in the freakin base though with the vendors

i agree with that one at least since replacing materials no longer uses a charge
repairing is more useful and engaging in general
repairing an exo helmet with a headgear repair kit is kind of broken when helmets make a big part of the overall progression
i just kind of hate that the normal repair kits for outfits did not have their repair thresholds changed like the weapon cleaning kits did
i can use a weapon cleaning kit that now can increase the gun condition from as low as 10%, but a heavy sewing kit is still stuck at as low as 65%
replacing outfit parts increases overall outfit condition, replacing a weapon part does not increase overall weapon condition (using a vice)

replacing parts? no
but that means that just having one charge of an outfit repair kit can last you the whole game
upgrades 
installing upgrades yourself saves you a lot of money if you have the materials
it just means you have to spend many hours with no outfit if you can't keep the one you start with repaired
you can get lucky and spawn with a repair-able starting outfit that can be repaired using a simple glue
i hate the huge gap between "you can't repair anything you find" to "you can repair everything compatible with this kit even if it has only one charge"
it's fiiiiine:

you are forgetting a small part in the middle called " you can repair some items with parts from similar items if you get lucky enough"
you can fix up a gun if it has a good barrel even if you dont have access to the correct repair kit
it takes longer and requires a bunch of RNG but its do able and i think its what most players use early game
only if you can manage to find a smallbore/largebore rifle repair kit
anyways, I'm installing gamma right now. I've played through SOC once on Stalker difficulty, and up to Mortal Sin in Vanilla Anomaly on hard (with economy leaning more towards normal/easy since im not grinding that hard), is there any tips I should know before I go into Gamma? I know that the difficulty is increased by a lot.
you dont need it, you can repair guns on the field if you have the correct parts
yes i like the system for guns, its the outfits i dislike
i also really like the "maintain parts" system that just lets you forcefully repair any weapon part
i think its that you will be changing guns more than changing outfits, i really dont know but i feel like both systems are fine
if my outfit is lower than 65%, then I cannot ever repair it without a light/medium/heavy repair kit to replace parts for it
the actual difficulty does not change, but the "progression behavior" you could call it will change, you could have a quick look through #│📚manual and ask about anything thats confusing or not mentioned in there or #│💻keybinds-in-gamma

yes, its to lock better outfits behind getting tool kits since they can make a big difference

it's just that since you cannot find expert tools except for in the north of the zone, you often are stuck with a broken outfit for an extended period of time
traders will not sell the medium or heavy repair kit without all 3, right?
you can craft advanced tool kit, you have access to medium and heavy outfit repair kits (heavy repair kit is more expensive to craft with advanced tools but its available) there are some really good medium outfits and if you can get the heavy one you can get a exosuit which is already an end game suit
i saw earlier the radsuit was an exosuit repair kit
basic tools are not really the rarest find in a stash as you might have noticed (5 basic tools crafts one advanced)

spas is probably the best semi auto shotgun overall
stats are the best but those ironsights suck
the iron sights are not the best to say the least
the armsel protecta has white glowing sights
it has a longer reload time per shell and has worse stats by a bit

go to your anomaly/appdata and delete the user ltx ?
anomaly/appdata delete the shaders_cache folder
it just might be a corrupt anomaly, would be best to delete the whole anomaly folder while keeping the save files if you want them and then getting a new clean anomaly folder and doing a complete installation #💽how-to-update (deleting mods folder and updating data then complete installation)
if you dont have a ready anomaly zip file somewhere its best to keep one around
you wont have to do anything with mo2 or gamma, only replace the anomaly folder
and complete installation so the gamma files are installed in anomaly

and what after that
get a new one from the original zip file if you have one or download it if you dont have it on your pc
extract it in the same directory it was at
I mean what after a new annomaly
go to your gamma folder, delete the "mods" folder
open the installer and update gamma data > and complete gamma installation after that

Hallo together, i hae seen that when NPC or i am shooting and maybee not hitting some ground or stuff like that (walls) than appears such a black ugly short smoke i don`t think so that these is meant to be so right?
is the cvfx mod enabled? and make sure to go to anomaly/appdata and delete the shaders_cache folder
make sure you dont have any red crosses over any mods in mo2 (if its maids icons that has a red cross its fine)
these mod is still not installed and Cinematic vfx mod i am searching at the moment but i didn`t find it in the mod organizer

the smoke is also not from the gun itself it is coming where the bullet packed inside any material

so i deleted some stuff
Most likely you need to download BAS manually and adding it to the downloads folder, it's written in #old-how-to

I deleted some old games on steam and epic games
That's mostly because of how addons are managed by XRay engine (uncompressed) and how XRay manages guns models, i.e. full gun for each attachment
that's why BAS is so big

I have done it working again but i have downloaded the last VFX 3.6 and put together that brutal stalker inside and loaded it with mod organizer will now try if i will have some bugs but now the stuff seams to be working

@strong pivot That really depends on your internet speed. But if you had RC1 or 2, you can easily cut down the time from just reusing the downloaded files

8% can get you "killed" at the Cordon so ye, where is the UNISG base in your run right now? you can try and talk to their mechanic to repair your stuff

gamma is not even similar to EFP, they are 2 different mod packs for anomaly
EFP focuses on combat and balances the game with skyrocketed prices on everything
gamma does not allow you to buy or sell guns and armors and focuses more on looting/scavenging and survival/crafting/cooking

hmm the RF receiver doesnt "show" anything, i have disabled aggressor reshade because my potatoe is to weak to handle it in a playable manner does that mess up some of the "detector" items?

For crafting you already have all the recepies, you just need the tools
For upgrading you need the "stuff" you want to add your gun/armour + the specified toolkit + I think basic/advanced/expert tools

You need to get the psy helmet from Sakharov in the yantar bunker. You will need 17k and it takes a few days before it's ready for the good one (you should get the good one).

Also look at the sky, the weather changed from clear to cloudy which lets less light into your NVG.
