I don't understand, when I unload magazines where it's specified it's loaded with old ammo. It gives me new ammo.
I play with default settings in anything related to ammo and magazines (And "don't spawn old ammo" is unchecked)
Also I don't cross any old ammo in the field

with super jams you have to reload. So if weapon jams -> unjam (Key Y) -> if still jammed -> reload

you can rebind the keys, but not like that. YOu can rebind to all keyboard keys, and you can add modifiers, for example holding alt or shift, long press or double press

oh combo keys are enable by default with this modpack and not just for certain mod features?
unjam key checks if your gun is jammed if its not. it still does a full animation so this wont work
most keybinds you can change either in game settings or mcm
yea i know just..lots of keybinds and finding a home for all is interesting
plus muscle memory from other shooters complicates things
you will get used to them. just make sure the important combat stuff is somewhere easily accessed

There are only white and green I assume. And so far the green one has had much better loot then the whites one, just like purple vs white in vanilla Anomaly.

There are white stashes that contain great weapons or outfits. I haven't noticed personally that green stashes are generally better, aside from the toolkit.
green stashes have higher max value but since they are rare you dont see much improvement in them over the white ones unless you get lucky
I'm quite certain it is completely random and players experience the green stashes as better from getting a guaranteed toolkit.

My greens have been much better then the white ones, no doubt. But I've been unlucky with toolkits. Took a while to get the Basic and now its all I'm getting. Think I have three in my stash.

In vanilla Anomaly I could lower my PDA with the grenade launcher key but not in GAMMA. Doesn't seem to be a key conflict as far as I can tell.

its usually disabled by default in gamma
if it is disabled then maybe you just got really lucky with a vanilla spawn

Absolutely. I see it as Anomaly NG+. Its not for the faint of hearted but I love it, the struggle, the difficulty.

so since by default stashes contain nothing, finding the stashes with the crafting kits, basic advanced etc boils down to what? PDA on stalkers, pay sid etc and then get lucky

With GAMMA comes a mod that adds 400+ new stashes and some of those are pretty hard to find. But they are all accessible.

I have updated GAMMA but when I launch it shows that reshade needs to be updated. I understand typically reshade is put into the root Anomaly folder. Is a clean install (Delete mods folder and unzip anomaly and overwrite?) recommended? Can someone recommend how to proceed?
Clean install will get you the last Reshade version
Otherwise you can copy paste GAMMA RC1/. Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_patches/bin to your Anomaly folder

skorpion is pretty good early game and you can replace it with the mp7 late game
both those smgs don't have the obnoxious bloom on the fire pattern that the other ones do

In Vanilla Anomaly artifacts only spawn in artifact fields, just like in Gamma

nah, anomaly with very little mods thrown in. trader overhaul, some graphical shit etc.
i distinctly remember sometimes finding minor artifacts just randomly in the swamp
sometimes they get yanked pretty far out by gravi anomalies, happened to me a couple of times too
hmm. maybe. Im just mentally jotting down some gameplay notes as I go, the artifacts only spawning in big marked fields thing is one annoyance. Kinda makes it all feel too "gamey" and predictable.
How does the EOTS scope do target-finding? I've tried enabling / disabling scope NVG and changing scope type (underbarrel GL button) but nothing is seeming to happen on top of enemy stalkers

hints? The burners are i think mostly fine, I see the mod for those. Its just these swirl effects on whirlgigs/vortex? the one thats right outside the house on rookie spawn near the fence. Idk, I just dont feel like i need to pay attention much when running through a field. and never much use bolts anymore

Grok balanced overhaul of ballistic system bWrr patch
those amber color....bubble swirl things at the base of the anomaly. So now its just the audio cue, swirling leaves, and that warp effect. Makes it not so obvious where they are and gotta pay attention more

so i just go without the other mods but keep enhanced shaders n the patches

hey I have a question more about vanilla anomaly that I was hoping someone could answer for me: do pulses happen more frequently around monolith? It doesn't happen in gamma, but in vanilla anomaly I keep having it where pulses will go off basically back to back directly above my head during and shortly after fights with monolith. Last time I played vanilla I got chased by them half way across jupiter after fighting monolith on the road to the train bunker.

there is no way to discard them that i know of but they should be easy to find, look under bushes or behind/under random objects. the faster and louder the beeping is the closer you are to the package
any extra info the quest giver mentions ?

which keybind are you looking for? some of them are in gamma keybind files but some are not changed so are inside each of their files

Sadly, the game spawned the mission artifacts but gave me no trigger when i picked one up.
also, the questline where you just keep going to different traders, does that ever end? Go meet beard, back to sidrovich, go meet xenotech, etc...
it cant do that, which mission was it? (unless the trigger got overwritten by another quest at the same time)

It made that most of the assets were loaded in before the game start, so it reduced the freezes while entering some impactfull areas

Also having some strange animation stuttering while entering scopes or running, like animation fps drops to 1 for a milisecond. Game itself works nice with 70fps avg

@fresh aspen unless you absolutely must have everything set at max setting, tinker with your lighting settings. Try lowering quality on shadows, lights, particles, and such.

@willow hawk Have you thought about increasing buckshot penetration a bit? Like now, guys with exos are almost impossible to kill with buck
After shooting a real life shotgun with buckshots loaded you can see how much damage it does. I know that kevlar will withstand them with no problem but energy what it does in short range it would kick somebody with no problem
i guess it's more of a balance thing
there are no exos far south so you will not have to kill them early game anyways

i dig sleep but the food n thirst is...aggresive when paired with BHS and how some meds dehydrate/etc
wish there was more hot keys
cooking is much easier
and finding water is not that hard on stalkers and in open world spawns
just make sure you dont get hit by bullets by taking more cover

its not finding the water its really just its one of those things that i find its not worth using up 1/4 quickslots for+food and drink and the meds well...they tend to create a cookie monster like playthrough

1 medkit can first aid most limbs and then use a yadulin if your torso or head are damaged. if not use an ibuprofen

they dont die unless the player kills them. i have seen them survive chimeras, bandits, renegades and monolith all alone. only the player can easily one shot them

interesting issue here (concerning additional storylines):
Some scientists are dying, and some quests are thus failing. I a fix would be to make them invincible – or perhaps make them story NPC like strelok.
For online combat it's easy with on npc before hit. But I don't know if that works for offline combat as well ?

no it doesnt, thats a mod authors design choice when incessent swearing (a mod feature) or a HUD message letting you now GUN JAMMED PRESS JAM BUTTON TO UNJAM would prob work better tbh than folding a gun stock, shoving it away and pulling it out, specially for a HUD minimalist playthrough where someone might think "oh mag is empty" then go wtf, then go "oh"
