Yes, you could paint asphalt there, atlho I think it's nicely designed, because TC is not a 'location', it's just a place in the middle of nothing where they piled crap. So it shouldn't have asphalt, because that road was meant to use only once by vehicles.

You mean the level changer is wrong from TC to DV? Not necessarily, because as You can see there is a pale road on the PDA from DV to the TC entrance. So it could be that TC is double fenced, and the inner fence was closed from that direction, not a big deal making a fence. They dumped all the crap in 1986, in a few days or weeks, then they sealed the area with the inner fence. But the outer fence in DV with dirt roads and gates remained.
Lore can be created for everything 😉

Consider that TC was added later by Anomaly dev team, so it's a bit of 'patchwork' but they did a great job I think

if that doesnt work, look up blurry or depth of field in the search bar, and that'll probably help, many people have had your same issue

there's a console command to kill it completely

like dof_enable off or something

otherwise yeah it's under SSS settings, weapon DOF

set all the peripheral blur to 0 if you don't want the sides of your screen blurry, and then adjust start/fade for both ADS and non-ADS weapon DOF

imo none of it really looks good, 0 for all
