I think she genuinely has stockholm syndrome. Being in a position where the most terrifying firebender alive is your dad and is fully expecting you to be his second in command, leaving any room for doubt isn't good for you. It's not that she isn't capable of knowing this is fucked up, it's just that doing anything but convincing yourself it's not won't work. You have to brainwash yourself into agreement, and there's no other alternative.

Zuko had time and distance from Ozai to be comfortable with coming to terms with it, Azula is always in super close proximity to her dad, or proximity to people who could report her fuck ups.

@timid hollow Kenny and Levi’s fight is a masterpiece of using music to subconsciously push narrative and momentum. Levi never gets into a fight he doubts he could win, so the second Kenny attacks he runs. Kenny as a person never thinks anything through, he’s confident enough in his abilities that him reacting is enough. So Levi uses that understanding in the bar by shooting at Kenny, knowing it won’t kill him just to get him out the door. Then he runs, and the part I love about the music is that you can literally hear the tonal shift in who’s winning the fight. The entire time the ost is super tribal sounding, it’s very percussion heavy, then when Kenny hits the ground it slows down to just background music. Then when you see Levi going toward the cart, you’re seeing him from the perspective of someone else, so he looks unbelievably fast. Then it zooms in and goes around his face, and changes the music from tribal to a sophisticated, almost Spanish guitar track. It sounds so elegant with how it’s played, and when the camera shifts to follow Levi now we’re seeing it from his perspective, and you can see how fast his mind actually processes stuff. Dodging the bullet, hooking and reeling for a kill. The camera stops being a wide shot and it stays close to Levi to sell his perspective more.
