I think DnD mechanics suck in games, everyone says the game's choices are so in depth but why the hell do my choices matter when I want to do something that feels important but I roll a 1 and now it fucks up. Hell, if you want my honest opinion I still think bullshit in games sometimes goes hard. Malenias fight being assfuckingly hard is actually one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a souls game. Having her float in the air and defy gravity during her waterfowl dance, moving so fast that your eyes can't comprehend it, her movement style being so gracefully violent, effortless, and so far above what you're capable of.
