Have some Mongolian techno as I go to sleep and rest my idiot brain
Pretty sure that was already designed
They made a lot of them
it's name for gun
heavy hybrid accelerator 'halberd'
i name stuff after melee weapons
electromagnetic-pneumatic hybrid with magic™
Most fantasy settings fall apart as soon as you add chemical weapons into the mix.
Avatar would have been solved instantly if the humans just dropped some nerve gas on the tree
only if written by lazy author
@sour rivet its out https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3662375608
Where is your gas mask, blue cat person
anyway i think my system is quite standout
basically uses magic to go around the limitation of pneumatics
Easy money
rest is still physics
Usually that's how it has to go.
based halberd user
Almost always being energy source, being the limiting factor.
yah
Quite possibly the best weapon in history prior to firearms.

You could put 99% of all historical warriors against a gothic knight with a halberd and it'd be like an atom bomb vs a coughing baby.
I swap between halaberd and Vykes Spear

God those old armors are so sexy.
Sucks that modern armor has to be soft and squishy with reusable plates to be effective.
erdtree sentinel
guns are just op like that
in my case that's counted by making other things even more op
or in the case of so many lackluster stories, just make guns ineffective against magic or smth
other way around
magic is effective against everything
only loses in being hard to use
Nah, I'd win.
interesting build you got there
vs a gun that anyone can grab and use
In my settings magic is always ludicrously OP but absurdly rare due to how complex it is and difficult to learn.
Also I hate the fucking idea of using wands or staves.
Harry Potter is a bitch if you take away his stick.
hes not hard
Yeah, he's quite easy. But tbh Elden Ring itself isn't all that hard. They kind of made it easy for people to get into as a souls game.
It's not my favorite of the fromsoft games
it can be made easy
Well, yeah, all of the souls games can be made easy if you treat it like a numbers game.
because the game kind of gives u a lot of strong weapons and spells and all sorts of tools to make yourself strong
Meanwhile 99.99999% of people: Bleed katana
bleed katana is ez to acquire and doesn't require you to think much thats why it works
just focus on dodging
My first build in Elden Ring, and favorite build, was just using a single starting scimitar, with the starting wanderer armor
personally I prefer frost
feels like I'm back with my internet speed in 2016, fuck nexus fr fr
in mine magic -entropy is something every living and most not-living things have and use as first nature. using it outside of yourself is the difficult part
Interesting.
stars are giants balls of magic also
In my most recent setting, magic is effectively manipulating the dream scape of a sleeping eldritch god, but no one knows they are being lovecrafted
Instead it is using knowledge and physical effort to alter the fabric of reality
pay
pay up piggy
no sweaty ❤️
😭
I'd like to thank Joe Biden for paying for my lifetime Nexus Premium
and that's only half a joke
Nexusmods hater #1
I can't I spent it all on plastic
oh no...
Everyone has access to a 'cosmic mana stream' that is ever flowing but finite access, kind of like how current works. To enchant something is to permanently redirect some of your mana flow to that enchantment to keep it functioning
They got warhammer disease
Which is why spell eaters are scary because they go around slurping up enchantments and stealing that mana source.
gundam is my poison of choice boss
(I fucking hate you Gale stop eating my items)
I got the RG Zeong and 3 zakus on the way
Have you played any other souls likes by any chance?
no
theyre fuckign expensive as shit
Not worth that much money idc what anyone says
To each his own lmao
I'm a big fan of souls like games. I recently finished Lords of the Fallen actually
people trying so hard to like darksouls
those games are ass lets be honest
stop liking trash

I discovered in Lords of the Fallen I can get infinite throwables, so thus began my PVP experience of gassing people to death.
It was very balanced.
And except 2, the entire series is just asset recycling, on top of bad design
LotF chad detected
Of course
Not best From game, that would be Bloodborne; but best Souls
I liked it. Definitely up there as one of my favorite souls like PvP modes. But my favorite souls likes are Bloodborne and Nioh 2
BB is amazing, overall. Except on technical level, but thats japanese games
Dex/faith
Some day. Some day they will port it to PC.
have you tried Hellish Quart?
I played a bit of the demo a while back. I wouldn't exactly call it a souls like lmao
But it was alright.
it's attempting to be historically accurate, which is a fine goal, but it's hard to do so when you're also so limited in range of motion.
I was one of the best Chivalry/Mordhau players back in the day, but I couldn't really call that authentic.
Considering I, and most other vets, fought like this
trully
soulslikes peaked at demon souls on the ps3
I meant it more in a way for a history nerd ;d
everything else is GARBAGE
Mmm. Yeah it's okay.
Kingdom Come is better for that purpose.
Albeit it has its own issues.
They uh, REAAAAALLY overvalue how effective a sword is.
They really do xD
same thing with katanas
those are dueling weapons, mostly
I'd take a spear over it any day
polearms are great
The latter half of my game in Kingdom Come was me stealthily running around in full plate and silently bisecting people with a halberd.
weakest astolfo fan
But, I spent too much time in HEMA to not be biased
Sekiro best souls everything else is skill issue
the fuck is astolfo
Swords have their place, and you absolutely can win against a fully armored polearm user with a sword. But it's awfully fucking hard.
a minor courtier
a knight from middle age epic stories
u said u liked history so...
Yeah? Name every character from history
I mean, if you use reductio ad absurdum, every matchup is a skill issue

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astolfo for anyone wondering
Astolfo (also Astolpho, Estous, and Estouls) is a fictional character in the Matter of France where he is one of Charlemagne's paladins. He is the son of Otto, the King of England (possibly referring to Charles' contemporary Offa of Mercia), and is a cousin to Orlando and Rinaldo, and a descendant of Charles Martel. While Astolfo's name appeared...
French knight
why are you doaking me bruv, astolfo stole argalia's lance (which was literally enchanted)

enchanted? history? 😄
Scottish/Irish? xd
you would be surprised
Yes
???
There is a lot of quotes from ancient Romans roasting the fuck out of my misshapen swamp dwelling ancestry.
Anime iteration, a femboy
They still kinda do, at least my mates in Highlands xd
Of Astolfo
Of course.
some historians would even argue alexander the great had plot armor
I'm sorry, I don't watch anime, Im not sexually attracted to children
and that seems to be a prerequisite
Alexander the Great had the plot armor of an absurdly high IQ and the confidence to execute even the simplest of plans.
Problem: Enemy has a massive fortress on an island
Solution: Make it no longer an island
and the plot armor of consistenly getting injured in an age where medicine was mostly non existing
That was an insane feat of engineering
mofo fought in the front lines
never underestimate human durability
didn't Alexander the Great's dad also lain a decent foundation for him?
"Sire how do you intend to siege this fortress?!"
when people are constantly dying of infection and one singular guy constantly gets injured and gets away with (while also being an alcoholic) people start asking questions
Yes, King Philip II had effectively built up the Macedonian army and invented the pike phalanx

Alexander the Great had extremely good tools and a loyal baseline to operate with
The pike phalanx, which is like a regular phalanx, but with a longer stick
A stroke of genius, really.
Then the Romans were like "This phalanx shit is stupid, what if we just went around"
when I was deployed there was a guy in my unit, who managed to make it after having a gunshot to the chest and waiting for a medic FOR 3 DAYS
I have no idea where did he get that much blood
Clanker down!!!
mmmm elden mid
pls miyazaki more recycling
also dont forget locked 65 fov
cringe
there is a guy in brazil who survived 2 gunshots to the head and losing half his brain
also running through every dungeon at mach fuck in order togetto the boss
WOW
such variety man

What the actual fuck xD
hold Shift for 5 minutes pull a lever and fight a boss
Marcus Cassius Scaeva had received dozens of injuries including an arrow to the eye socket, a stab to the inner thigh, and countless cuts across his body during a battle in which every single man in his cohort had received severe injuries.
They saved him with battlefield surgery and presented his shield to Caesar, which had over 100 projectiles and weapons lodged in it
gonna go shove my nagakiba up leonine misbegottens ass
dude was a cop, went in a podcast and talked about it. somehow kept most of his faculties.
Scaeva then went on to continue serving in the Legions for years after, even serving under Octavian.
Like Adrian De Wiart ;D
that's called neuroplasticity - when other parts of the brain take over functions of the missing bits
My piano teacher's daughter, when I was younger, was a cop that ended up getting shot in the head at least two times
Had a steel plate in her head
Bad guy basically took her service pistol from her and point blanked her on the ground
Humans are quite hard to kill tbh.
Thats a weak argument and yknow it. There a lots of good storytelling to come from anime like Cowboy Bebop or Jojo, overall it isnt just a crass generalization of that. But everyone has their tastes I suppose.
sometimes
sometimes it's opposite
caugh a flu? tot
charge time for 3 business days
As much as I'd hate to admit it, I recently got into Umamusume. I'm not much of an anime fan, but good writing is good writing, and that shit has it in spades.
Please bro, dont compare Bebop or any other actual art to the 99% of the pedo slop you see on the Net
I like good anime
Im not.
especially the 90s ones
I recommend Umamusume, despite how weird it looks from the outside looking in. I scoffed at it but then it hooked me.
Made me cry, even.
The Umamusume movies have more fucking funding than Nasa.
But I absolutely hate the trend of making all characters look like they're 13
Same.
and nowadays its everywhere
Umamusume is about irl honse support. Gives them good homes and meals
cyngray manga is actually insane
didn't know the japanese were colonized by the french
the more you know
isn't that the one about children running nascar?
wat
japan has a really good track record when it comes to sports media
if you liked GITS, try Cyber City OEDO and Patlabor ❤️
Umamusume is an anime about horse girls
The horse girls are based on real life Japanese racing horses
Following their lives but translated into a more humanized format.
At its core, they are stories about athletes
What the fuck
umamusume is an anime based on agnes tachyon. the rest is just filler.
Like I said, from the outside looking in, it doesn't look like anything special
But trust me
The stories are really fucking good.
No, it doesnt. It looks like regular pedo slop
Abdominal Triceratops
what is it with you and this pedo talk?
this, dude
Im incredibly alergic to this
And I know I overreact sometime
There is like one character I would argue is pedobait, the rest are entirely wholesome and made to be seen more as daughters than anything. Because you are their trainer.
They are athletes
Dunno man. Maybe it's wholesome, Im just really bothered by the aesthetic
You'd get over it. Trust me.
you would pair well with blue archive fans
I like the idea, I just wish they would not look like children
What's that and why?
The movies do not have that issue
The movies, as I said, have a larger budget than nasa
Anyway, I'm off to the Brain Scorcher, catch you later boys!
@paper whale
fuck you magrit
You wouldn't expect insanely complex emotional stories about horse girls.
But here we are, Japan.
man
soulsborne bosses and enemies SURE do love talking after dying
you had so much time to yap during the fight
and u choose to shit on me after?
mf you're already dead pipe down
He was too busy delaying his swings by 4 business days.
theres this one panel specifically in CinGray that made my stomach lurch lmao
we love artificial difficulty :^)
Is it yuri on ice?
In my case, Silence Suzuka's theme from the video game in her main story makes me extremely fucking sad
have you already read up to 196? don't want to spoil you or anything
I would argue that aint artificial
Don't worry about spoiling me, I already know the stories of the horses themselves which is spoilers enough.
Consort radahn at release felt artificial with his bullshit hp
later parts is a beautiful look at an athlete that has begun to decline, desperately trying to stave off the inevitable
Artificial is Miyazaki reusing the asylum demon's moveset for every erdtree spirit except 'teehee homing soul mass'
Or trying to knock you off with a zombie around the corner for the 500,000,000th time
which you know, is deeply connected to the IRL Oguri Cap's losing streak where folks were calling for him to be retired
Yup.
I like bojack horseman
You know, I cried for Arthur Morgan. I remember feeling emotional for a lot of very good games, and some movies. I balled my eyes out for Grave of the Fireflies.
But for some fucking reason
Umamusume keeps drawing emotion out of me.
And that's just the mark of amazing writing that pairs so well with what actually happened in real life to these poor animals

And the funny part is, so many people look at this shit from the outside (I did too) and go "Stupid dumb looking anime about horse girls."
But every single person I know who actually gave it a chance, calls it a masterpiece.
Even people who normally dislike anime.
Dudes who go from "This shit is stupid" to calling Haru their daughter over the span of 2 hours lmfao
it has the same effect on folks like older sports anime like Hajime no Ippo or Slam Dunk imo
I fucking hated TM Opera O then I did her story and now I love her.
If you turned toxic positivity to 11
It's not. I gave it a chance twice. It's not a masterpiece
I tried to get into it but it felt like a stupid anime about horse girls
Not that i mind anyone else enjoying it, but meh
Well to each his own.
I gave it a chance back during it's original release and once more during it's global release. It is not a masterpiece, it's one of the worst gacha games I played
The game itself is nothing special, it's the story.
Also tbh the movies do a much better job
I wanna watch 91 days now
I saw opening for that and seems peak
OH I HAVE TO WATCH GANGSTA
It's a collection of ok stories , they aren't anything special
I would argue they are pretty special considering they are closely tied to what actually happened with the real life animal, with an impressive amount of accuracy, actually.
The gameplay gets repetitive very fast and is rng dependent, the monetization is absolute ass and the company responsible for the game should burn
Pyson sounds like me when i talk about genshin
Eh. They're one of the better gacha companies I've seen. They aren't nearly as bad as a lot of others, and they've donated a lot to the JRA and many farms.
Whether you like them or not, they built a fanbase that has had an incredibly positive impact
I am the local gacha expert
Building a fanbase is not a big achievement
But I digress, it's hard to make me emotional, not many things have managed, Umamusume manages to do that, so even if it's just hitting me in my weakspot, it impresses me.
a retirement home for a horse?!
put his ass in some sausages
Yeah, race horses can only race for so long before they have to retire or their body will give out, they'll get injuries.
jebemti
cant they transition to another line of work?
They do.
Eating and constantly fucking

how long do horses live anyways?
30 years on average.
Well devs shouldn't have to indefinitely support titles
(For those who can't tell, sarcasm)

Umamusume taught me way too much about horses and horse racing, when I previously knew jack fuck all.
It's an interesting subject
he has like a 6 minute on lsf where he bitches about aoc closing down but does his best to avoid bringing up SKG ideals
its so funny
"man theres gotta be like... some law or something that can apply here"
Horses are pretty intelligent, and can have an astonishingly wide range of personalities.
"Man if only there was a push to allow us to play games past their expiration date with no further work needed from the devs?"
bro that shield charge attack always gets me
beautiful irony
he does it
I dodge
I think I can attack
and fucking 1 second later he just swipes once
"too bad it doesnt exist huh?"
Crucible knight is genuinely harder than some bosses
You can jump attack over the tail whip by the by
here comes the delayed attack, with the steel chair!
Tbh Crucible Knight doesn't really have many delays
Which was refreshing
his fight is quite smooth once you get the hang of it
also that attack where he drags the sword
There we go
I hate that I know that reference.
which you are pretty much forced to as you fight him so many times
I'm aware

I was glad that I workshopped him so many times when I first fought him in the super early game, because the ability to fight him in my sleep came in handy when they threw multiple of them at me at once
Still though, of all the souls likes I've played, nioh 2 is definitely my favorite
Mechanically it's sex
My favourite souls like is ER
Because it's the only one I've played

It's also my least favourite
Simultaneously the best and worst
Elden Ring is unironically my least favorite of all the fromsoft games
I even like DS2 more than it
oh
I tried to play DS2
Didn't click at all
It's extremely different from any of the other dark souls games
But once you get used to it, I think it does a lot of things right
Much more mechanically sound than the earlier/later souls games
i just found the control scheme weird
besides that it all clicked
but definitely wasnt designed with kbm in mind
Atm I'm starting my playthrough of Nioh 3, and let me tell you
I figured that souls games aren't for me
ER was just a one off
Nioh 3 is kicking my ass
Which is amazing to me
because Nioh 2 was already the hardest souls like I've ever played
Nioh 3 is even harder
I've also had numerous friends (most of which are souls veterans) rage quit on the very first enemy in Nioh 2
so naturally I'm going to see if I can get them to play Nioh 3 at some point so I can watch them suffer an aneurysm.
Because I am a good friend.
not soulslike but
peaks of yore is the only game to make me actively stressed and sweaty
play quasimorph

Ahahahaha
Great soundtrack
Tbh if you make smart decisions and think tactically Quasimorph isn't that bad.
peh
It just punishes you horrendously for fucking up
sorry i just cant stand turn-based stuff

It's not... really turn based
It's more 'the world only moves when you move' kind of thing
So you can pause, in that hallway
Staring at that dude's shotgun
For as long as you want
But you're already dead
@real aspen Have you tried Ghost of Tsushima?
cant run it
That's unfort. Tbh I thought it was really well optimized, far more so than elden ring
@real aspen
Ghost of Tsushima is fucking kino man
idk that's why i asked you
they're trying to ban stuff like steam and discord
and/or require id to access anything
An easy way to make me love your game is if you make weapons actually lethal.
real
Which is why I fucking absolutely despise Disney and everything they've ever touched when it comes to Star Wars
Mother fucking whiffle bats
i like the rule of three
halo
well not really rule of three
idk what it's actually called
Are you talking about the gaming rule of threes where it is usually three phases for a boss, or 3 hits to a kill?
Or the rule of two from Star Wars
Which is Bane being an idiot
but anything that isnt obviously heavily armored or tough, should take a 3 action combo to kill
elden ring is terribly optimised
like proper ass
I go even further. Rule of one. If you don't have armor and you get hit in the head with a sword, you are dead.
halo 2
That rule should apply to my enemies and me
Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy was awesome because of an old console command g_saberrealisticcombat which meant that even just your lightsaber touching them
Would unironically cut limbs off
Or cut them in half
We haven't seen dismemberment in Star Wars since.
Because Disney
elden ring really isn't difficult but it is a numbers game
spec properly get the proper ashes of war and weapons
but uh
gg whole game becomes a joke
It's lore shit.
thats every souls except sekiro tho
I was a massive Star Wars fan/nerd who knew all the lore
but I've since become bitter and want Star Wars to die
get the right build in ds1/ds2/ds3 and youre good
just use the starting weapon and spam STR points in bloodborne and youre good
One of the reasons I like Nioh 2. It's hard to cheese a boss, they are extremely tanky and you are very squishy.
So you have to prove you know their moveset
most calming 3 salvadors encounter ever
true
I genuinelky think
none of the 3 dark souls
or elden ring are hard
they just boil down to googling a good build
speccing properly and thats it
all 3 games become a joke
a walk in the park
there I said it
i didnt google, i just used the greatsword in every game and full str and it worked so i never changed it
played trough ds1-3 and er with the same weapon
And then strength builds have the nerve to call dex or magic builds easy
when they stunlock Melania to death
Force Unleashed
Eh
FU was neat but it didn't really have much dismemberment
Every build is easy
Not on the level of outcast or academy
if you know what youre doing
some people would probably struggle a lot with my build, i would struggle with a dex build
alright enough er I'm bored of htis shit
ivan says the most bottom of the barrel known shit and acts as if it was a hot take
i should replay sekiro honestly
was the most satisfying of the games, once you had your parry game up it felt like nothing else

The second best thing about this game is the lightsaber mouse cursor.
where is my clip where i no hit genichiro before he turns to ishin
game locked at 60
so-called free thinker
"just google a good build"
Lmao i played on xbox one version
locked to 30
I mean that shitty souls-like with the ginger twink has SOME dismemberment
get on my level
but it's still whiffle bat lightsabers
FUCK jedi outcast
jedi academy is the only good one of the two
or use the big bonk sword
same fucking shit
jedi outcast is legit fucking massive dogshit

is made up by the utterly derranged
?
I got stuck in one level but I was 13 and didn't know english well at the time
once I got past that it was fine
bro
theres literally
Dark Forces 2 is not really the same thing
a moment in the game you have to go to a random cliff and look down
with 0 indication
you have to do that
to progress
90% of the game is walking around and flicking switches and the game pretty much never tells you what the switch did
I got stuck in nar shaddaa because it took me a while to figure out I had to ride the trash compactor carts and use force push on the thingys
that game's level design is unironically the WORST EVER from what i experienced
that level isn't even bad or hard, genuinely

Yeah that particular map was pretty bad in level design
it's pretty fun all things considered
But the rest was fine
you just run away from the rancor
Star Wars Dark Forces 4 - Jedi Knight 3 - Jedi Outcast 2 - Jedi Academy
as civvie once said
which level has the room with the microwave or whatever
on scale of bad to good?
Hello. Could you please tell me the name of the mod where I can find audio files with a recording of the announcer's or radio host's voice? I heard it in the Rostock location, the words going something like, "Hello again, Three Dog Night..."? The radio host delivers news about the zone in Russian.
1/10 you deflected 2 attacks
no, the game progression
don't care, you deflected 2 hits
wuh
Meanwhile my ass is over here in Nioh 3 fighting this giant horse who keeps trying to grab and molest me.
dark forces 1 is the doom clone
then dark forces 2 has the "subtitle" jedi knight
then "jedi knight 2" has the subtitle "jedi outcast" (so dark forces 3)
then jedi academy is generally called jedi knight 3
so dark forces 4 - jedi knight 3 - jedi outcast 2 - jedi academy
Hello. Could you please tell me the name of the mod where I can find audio files with a recording of the announcer's or radio host's voice? I heard it in the Rostock location, the words going something like, "Hello again, Three Dog Night..."? The radio host delivers news about the zone in Russian.
Jedi academy feels like an actual game
while Jedi Outcast feels like a modernized version of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" for Atari 2600
in that they have the most asinine convoluted gameplay for 0 reason
we spamming now?
i should try nioh
Maybe you can use your lightsaber to cut that tree down and make a bridge.
No.
Yes.
then why you sending the same message twice within a minute
maybe.

@oblique belfry
you should
Be warned Nioh 2 is leagues harder than any of the souls games, and a lot of souls players rage quit very early on.
I am totally not biased
and nioh 3 is even harder because I'm getting molested atm
in the trial chamber where u get ur light saber back in outcast, the final test requires you to force pull the saber
THIS WAS NEVER A MECHANIC IN ACADEMY
I have nioh 1 on epic, dont know if it will run
literally me rn if the save wasnt mp
........... really?
it's generally considered the easiest of the 3, especially for newcomers
veterans are stomping through the game effortlessly
hannya IM the host
The bosses are substantially harder than anything I've fought in Nioh 2.
im talking about waiting for others
ah
hmmm im 1gb vram short but i made worse things work
nioh isn't that hard. Maybe nioh 1 is because you don't have as many tools for animation cancelling and ki recovery
skill issue
They have also readded old bosses from Nioh 2, and added moves to them

wild. I only died once to ||takeda shingen||
and nioh 1 as well. I fought ||Hino-Enma|| and ||Ryomen Sukuna||
Could be that you can play Nioh 3 differently since it is pseudo open world, and you can level.
I'm currently stuck at fighting the whacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube whore
Snake bitch
Whose entire moveset revolves around shoving my camera up her ass
at like level 8, with 3 elixirs
also my mom finished the fallout show
she liked it a lot and is now pretty sad its done
you're basically not playing the game, then lol
have fun bashing your head against the wall ig
I hate this fucking thing.
from what i saw when i walked by it seemed pretty cool, was nice seeing the ncr and vegas
Well, that's how Nioh 2 was. It was linear. If you wanted to farm you had to repeat levels a lot.
ill probably enjoy it because im not a die hard fallout fan but a newbie
You could overlevel but it was obvious you were overleveled
But in all fairness, Nioh 3 wasn't that painful for me until I met this snake slut.
It's a little more difficult because they take away shit you started with in Nioh 2, like your stances
and they give you the ki pool of a coughing baby
nioh 2 also had upgrades and unlocks along the missions as you progressed through them
no one expects you to just bee-line towards the crucible and, while inside the crucible, bee-line towards the boss
You're WAY under the recommended level for that mission because you wanna play it "like Nioh 2"
but otherwise I only died like once so far
But this snake thing Jakotsu Baba is kicking my ass more than Hayabusa did in the 650 levels of the depths

Fucking insane ass map wide sweeps
surely it's the game's fault.
Didn't say it was?
Obviously I'm not good enough atm
So I just need to learn her moveset
you're WAY underleveled for that mission
finally getting some psy op guys
I got her down to like 10% HP but she has SOOOOOOO many attacks, and it's hard to tell what she is doing because my camera is not wide enough lmao
She is the first boss in all of Nioh 1 and 2 to make me unironically take a break
I believe I've gotten the Poland experience today.
maybe if you were a little bit stronger and killed her faster
The goal is to not get hit
the longer a fight takes, the greater the risk
Saw some dude in a skirt and a wig squatting in front of my shop. Smokin a ciggy.
That was a new sight.
I mean, it's how you had to fight in the depths in Nioh 2.
Because unless you went with an absurd build you had to know the fight inside and out
dont listen to mbo, not getting hit is the way
I hope they bring back Toshimitsu because I want to suffer again
If by build correctly you mean copy the most broken build online and make the game easy, then sure
If that is how you want to play it
You do you
or you can just
read the set bonuses and gear up according to what you wanna have
@arctic flicker mr menace
I also made a goofy ass build with spear that was so tanky and regenned HP so fast, and had so much blocking KI, that I was unironically invincible
how does the relationship stuff work
and no boss in the game could break my guard
mfw game has extensive and in-depth itemization and people just don't want to engage with it
then complain that game is hard
the factions?
But that isn't exactly playing the game
i have lvl one with one faction now and installed a fixer thingy, so is it basically just more slots for such stuff?
it literally is? It's one of the game's main features. What insane logic is that lmao
Your ship got a limited amount of slots, increasing relations with factions grant access to equipment you may want
fixer is nice for that 30% trade value on the blackmarket
ah so when i chose the fixer thing i just unlocked the possibility of installing it on ship?
I mean breaking the game to make it laughably easy is entirely possible, but it's not in the spirit of the actual game.
yup
alr
getting a
right there
says who? You?
It's part of the tools the game gives you to become stronger. The game gives them to you and expects you to use them.
slowly getting in to the flow, combat can get pretty fast actually when you know your units and their capabilities
I'm sure the devs anticipated me becoming literally invincible and unkillable
I'm sure they intended that behavior
lmfao
You do you.
They wouldn't have given us extremely strong set/grace bonuses if they didn't anticipate players using them
trust me the spirit of the game is not reading anything at all
I play them to challenge myself
did you play Stranger of Paradise? You can quite literally become invincible in that game. Just face-tank everything and take zero damage.
The devs "anticipated" players would use that because THEY PUT IT IN THE FUCKING GAME to begin with.
ok... stay stuck at the first boss for another 30 hours then
I'm sure that's a lot of fun
That isn't the first boss
more like second.
im a challenge guy myself, im scared for example that i get too op in fallout new vegas
im op = game gets easy =bores me = i drop game
I feel a bit rusty, yet I wanted to anyways do one last video of Nioh 2 to Celebrate this fantastic game.
I'll stop playing and doing videos about Nioh 2 for some time because I want to focus on the Ninja Gaiden Franchise, due to the release of Ninja Gaiden Master Collection that will be avaiable from the 10th of June.
Thank you everyone for yo...
me when joshua o brien stomped me easily because i had no idea what my acs stats even are
i just tuned turn speed
The beauty of Nioh imo is honestly all the tech you can do, mechanically.
the hayabusas in nioh are easy to kill, you can stunlock them easily with the right ability combo
The RPG shit is just kind of there.
surely
wait

cameo
yes
also it's Ren, not Ryu
he's Ryu's descendant
(and in nioh 1 he's called Jin)
i said ren
He is quite hard until you're prepared for him. Honestly early game in Nioh humans are braindead easy but monsters are hard, then it reverses as you progress in the depths
but didnt know that still
Humans become hard, monsters easy
cool to know
but once you get good Ki-stunlock chains going
You can kill most humans reliably
one day i will get into ninja gaiden
Ninja Gaiden is gud
when i finished dmc
(still havent finished dmc3 since a year BECAUSE FUCK PS2 LEVEL DESIGN)
The shit you can do in Nioh 2, even after all the hours I have in it, still amazes me
yes, I'm explaining the difference between Ren and Ryu because Ryu is the one from ninja gaiden
Nioh 2 combat is absolutely beautiful and massively fun. You'll soon see why :)
In a way, this is my first solo combo mad video!

meanwhile, the humble God of Wind II
don't tell me you don't learn skills either because it's "rpg shit"
That's something I'm slightly annoyed about so far in Nioh 3. I don't have hardly any tools, where are my stances, why is my break attack the parry
atp I don't even know how you play this game anymore
I liked the fire break attack because you could use it offensively
and continue chains
Also the yokai abilities coming out of the box really slows down combo chains as well
It's not seamless
you unlock that further on with the story
and stances are unlocked with skill points
... you haven't even unlocked high/low stance yet.
I'm baffled.
I assumed the crucible was the next phase of the story, considering my main story marker was sending me there.
I legitimately just thought I was progressing.
am I not supposed to fight this snake whore?
it is. But that particular thing you mentioned is unlocked further on
Ah
not at your current state, but don't let that stop you
challenge yourself.
Well I haven't got past snake slut yet
you don't have to. The stances are literally in the skill tree. Just get skill points and buy them
Eh? It said I had to find some shit first
... lol
I tried to buy the stances first thing when I got the lock of hair
but it told me no
I'm gonna be upset and feel stupid if I could have had high stance this entire time against this methed up flailing tube monster
;3
that's all it says in my game. If there's any requirement (like some dojo mission), it doesn't tell me anymore
Well I tried to get it, and I couldn't.
which just compounds the joke
So it's locked for me for whatever reason
Visons of rump...
it all boils down to this
Its the last okayish episode, at 7.8 stars
Every single one after that is 8.5-9.6
o
@blissful sonnet have you figured any ways to avoid the adventurer/mercenary trope if you want a character who isn't bound to anything in particular, but still needs to operate freely within the society?
A billion possibilities out there, yet somehow a variation of one thing keeps appearing in better half of the worlds I've seen. so called adventurers; mercenaries and freelancers who, among other things, risk their lives doing all lines of jobs for wealth and glory -mostly wealth, though.
This kind of... Career, tends to be most common with worlds in early and middle stages of development, when there's still something an average person can discover and adventure to, but I've seen advanced civilizations where adventurers are the cornerstone of society as well.
But most importantly, anyone with bare minimum of capability can become such a freelancer and earn significant status for themselves, which is extremely convenient for a frequent traveler like me.
Expectedly, adventurers have a active and thriving role in this world. And that's just what I'm going to do going onwards.
horse but hole
i see
I got to s6e5 with my brother today
nice
junior shooting tony was fucking amazing

after we are done with this im gonna introduce him to True Detective
Sociopath, Nihilist, Hunger for power are all fine motivators to make someone go on a massive killing spree for fun and profit.
Try finger, but hole
Alternatively you can just make shit whisper to them from the back of their skulls to draw them out.
Or the 'nothing left' trope where you're forced to adventure because there is no reason for you to stick around
Well you take it slow, obviously
A good one is adventurer by proxy
i will
eh doesnt really track with the kind of character im doing
take note how he talks in the quote
"of the worlds i've seen"
Sounds like a researcher
Wants to 'adventure' for the simple fact of seeing what lies beyond the scope of mortal eyes
Traveling scholars are always fun
Ideal way to cleanse him of his boredom is to invent a reason for him to care
Like a monumental earth shattering fuck up that threatens everything
He opened the wrong box
touched the wrong button
Jacked off to the wrong eldritch deity
i appreciate your ideas but uh, how to put this
create a little side character he meets in a village where they get attacked and their whole family slaughtered and he vows to protect the little one
then he goes on a quest to find the monsters that did this
he himself nukes worlds he deems unsalvageable
(most average story writing ever)
true
My GPU is cursed by ancient god
that's exactly what im doing
and variations of that
I like to explore the inhuman concepts personally
No immortal being or something that possesses that much power could ever see the world in the ways we do
and never would.
Not a billion slaughtered orphans at his doorstep would cause him to bat an eye.
eh
It was showing this since I began P5 btw
he was just a dude in past
What WOULD make him feel human, is losing that safety, to be exposed finally to risk
Take a god, and strip away immortality, and all that power
Like newborn babies
Despite thousands of years of experience
I love fighting mirandas
Despite all that knowledge and talent, they are vulnerable.
AYOOO
I would imagine they would hide away
thousands
Quintillions, gaijillions
fucktillions
etc.
my timespan is a bit bigger than that
, not that it really matters though, just arbitrary big number really
Overpowered characters tend to get boring, and make others get bored with them.
They need obvious weaknesses
Or it's just a deus ex
I bet my god would beat up your god
nuh uh

no powerscaling bullshit here
Oh there is always room for powerscaling.
Dude finds a psychic mushroom that lobotomizes him before he even realizes what is happening
Immortal shell, a husk of a lobotomized god.
he doesnt eat
Didn't say he needed to eat it.
damn
There is a funny character in STar Wars
With one of the funniest weaknesses of all time
Darth Sion, a literal immortal being of pain and suffering
He physically cannot die
The force holds him together
But there is also a lizard in Star Wars, that dispels the force in an area
So he could die to a lizard being near him
And that is hilarious to me
inb4 he goes on a quest to exterminate every single one of those lizards
He's too busy getting a boner over the last living Jedi
While the Star Wars equivalent of darth galactus goes around hungry hungry hippoing worlds
and being the most overpowered being in Star Wars lore
And dying to the equivalent of microphone feedback.
batman is boring for this reason
They are boring unless they are ludicrously complex
and to be complex, they need to have fears
desires
they shouldnt be the focus of stories, they're like a plot device for side characters, who are actually the main characters
Usually the big bad takes that job
how would he exterminate those lizards if even being near one would kill him
henchmen
He has interns for that
half-game, you mean
Mmm
I gotta play it with the restoration patch sometime
3 quarters game
either way seems like there's no avoiding the adventurer trope
it's just too versatile
There are, but I don't really know much about your character beyond
"He's a bored god"
"And kind of an asshole"
he's not a god
You're basically just recreating the abrahamic religion.
So he just casually blows up worlds
But he's not a god
yah
Worlds go cheap these days.
look, think of it like, wh40k style world
colonel hux decides to go hitch-hiking across the galaxy?
God I hate 40k
So he's just an inquisitor
I hate 40k because everyone in it has negative IQ and the dumbest of reasons for doing anything.
And all of their problems are literally caused by being too stupid to know any better
and could be solved by reading a single book
and also why haven't the Necron won already
because they are fighting eachother
they move slowly
They can like tap a button and evaporate a solar system
and then milk their pokeball god to make a new one
doing so could destroy the galaxy which is hwy they dont use it
or, you know, literally stop time
Based on their power scaling this seems like a minor inconvenience at worst.
It'd be too much work to fix it.
anyway, he's like, everything and anything depending on what story he's doing
well kind of
he takes roles
I think we should just get all of the halo devices and strap them to Row boat girly man and throw him into the warp
or other times he's just messing around, like in this case, which is why i need a way for him to operate within a society
i will agree on characters being absolutely retarded tho
I don't like 40k, but all of my friends do, and got me to play Rogue Trader
So when I randomly found a halo artifact and put it on without question
They all lost their shit
But it's okay, because Margaret Thatcher became so strong that enemies were literally dying by walking into her
This is a gif I will always be able to hear
its one of those few funny things were
a dark eldar a normal eldar and a nun will agree its a bad idea
nooo why are you equipping the OP item, stop breaking the game
its honestly peak
Because it's an RPG first, and I don't respect warhammer
Also I didn't know it was OP before I put it on
and you can't take it off
lmao
Ironically that was my party the entire playthrough
Being an outsider to Warhammer 40k my first instinct was to turn my ship into a Noah's Ark with 2 of everything
I would unironically try to befriend chaos demons and Tau in the same breath
Also that fucking Space Wolf was so cringe
Dude going 'uwu' mid battle
Literally
Why couldn't they have given a less cringey spess muhreen.
Found the dude dying first in the horror movie
