In my 3 day research, i have found out and come to a conclusion that overclocking 40 series is pointless.

If you dont care about heat your best bet is to just add maximum mem clock you can (usually 1000-1500) and maxing out the power limit.
Core clocking results in marginal boosts and usually more headache.

What i would recommend tho is undervolting and then overclocking untill you core speed matches stock.

In my case i run 2740mhz peaking 1075mv stock. The UV score i showed was 1000mv and 2720mhz and its 20w lower than stock but also 50w lower than same speed non undervolted
