Retards and terminally online people, I present to you the Arknights Endfield review by the local gacha expert (me). Hopefully it won't be too long.

Let's start with one important thing - I played the game on mobile so I won't go too deep into controls cause I have no fucking idea. But the mobile controls are not the greatest, but also not the worst. They are simple enough that you can do stuff, but there's so many buttons on the screen and they sometimes require you to do more than just pressing them to do stuff that it sometimes slows down the gameplay, which I hope isn't an issue on the superior pc master race gaming.
The graphics are ok on mobile and even on low settings the game looks good enough that I don't want to bleach my eyes. The character models especially look good, go figure, and even the random no name NPCs don't look terribly ugly. The world looks relatively nice and the overall aesthetics are fine.
Combat is a thing that exists in this game and I saw a few people here say that it's great, but to be honest - it isn't. It also isn't bad, don't get me wrong. It's your standard press button to attack, press button to skill, press button to ultimate and nothing else. You also can dodge attacks and you get a wacky woohoo slow motion if you do it at a right time. Other characters in your party do contribute to combat even if you're not actively controlling them, but you still have to manually tell them to use skills and ultimates, and the game uses a very fucking stupid skill point system where you can't use skills if you're out of them. I'm not sure if ai controlled party memebers can take damage. But you can equip consumables that get automatically used, and a few of them are healing items. I'm not sure if there are dedicated healers in the game.
Character designs range from ugh to ok, the main player character looks mid in both male and female versions, and probably the best looking character is the Dante Devil May Cry guy. Speaking of characters - there are 4 star, 5 star and 6 star characters. Guess they really want to squeeze your money out of your wallet or bank account that hopefully is not in debt. The positive is that headhunting will always give you characters.
Speaking of headhunting, which is the main gacha component of the, well, gacha game. The system itself is your standard "roll for shit, roll X times for guarantee" type of deal but right now I'm not sure if the rolls carry over between banners. Hopefully they do, for the reasons I'm about to get into.
The fucking prices of premium currency are awful and to be honest people who got their paypal accounts hacked by playing this game deserve this for buying anything for those prices. I'm not going to get deeper into that because that's simply how expensive everything is.
The factorio component is ok.
