So a 24 male got hit by a car, we arrive on scene see a skinny kid with blood from his head absolutely loosing his shit, we introduce ourselves and he says that his leg is broken (it's not) and limps to the ambo, we get in and start to take his vitals and he breaks down completely. Dude gets a 100% confirmed panic attack as he assumes everything for the worst "my leg is broken! I can't be a pilot like this! My dream is shattered! Etc." I immediately try to calm the kid down before he gets a heart attack, not working, keeps assuming the worse, asking if it's all just a dream, panicking about the leg. His vitals are fine, great even for his current condition, leg looks normal, head stopped bleeding. During the entire car ride to the hospital I literally have to hold his hand and remind him to breathe. He is still loosing his shit. We get to the hospital, he gets brave, says he can try and walk, we tell him no, we're getting a wheel chair and roll him to the reception. The entire way he's still panicking, praying it's a dream. We bring him paperwork to sign, he gets surprised that his writing is shaky (all of him is shaking, keeps forgetting to breathe). After the paperwork he asks to hold someone's hand so I give him mine and for the entire duration he holds it, still shaking and me reminding him to breathe. When we left him there he was still in a panic, dude is having the worst day of his life
