i'm not knowledgeable enough to know too deeply into it, but afaik the problem of burn in is impossible to solve with OLED (only mitigated). I don't blame manufacturers for pouring money into RnD for miniLEDs, they're most of the way there anyway. the RGB miniLED tech that sony demonstrated looks better than most OLEDs as well, so the industry will likely head in that direction, but we'll see

Iirc the older Oleds had terrible burn in but most panels from the last 3 years are really stout.
