While I personally use Miller. Lincoln, and ESAB if you got the money to blow, Primeweld is great if you're just getting into it. ESAB is really solid.

They have a few plants around here and make a lot of electrodes and other welding equipment, but they started making welders (a bit more recently afaik) trying to compete with the big brands.

We use one of their battery welders at work for small stuff up on a tower or hard to reach areas. I think it's called the Renegade Max or something, and it's powered by four DeWalt 12Ah FlexVolt batteries.

It actually runs really well and holds a charge better than any other battery welder we've tried.

We tried to see how long it would last one day and we needed to do a little hardfacing, and it ran like 20 rods before the batteries were just about dead and we couldn't keep an arc.
This was with 1/8" 5003 rod at around 130-ish amps iirc.
