...I have a story with a bit of a twist around this type of thing, and I cannot lie, I adore it.
Basically your run-on-the-mill basic character, a boy who can't control his power murders his parents by accident, and ends up murdering everyone around him anytime someone takes him in, so he basically gets thrown out and lives like an animal in the wild.

Until some soldiers from Altar show up, they're on an exploratory mission in that world, and they're stupidly overpowered basically, so the boy cant hurt them even if he tried. so the soldiers take care of him for the mission, then bring him to the Altar, after some time he learns control and returns to his world, which leads into another story
