As a generic business strategy, starting lower is a good idea. As people get to know you you can raise it. Imo most art pieces should be at minimum 80USD since it can take like 3 to 4 hours to complete artpieces and getting paid less than 20/hr feels like the artist is being scammed

my bike is unbranded (I think? says pegasus bikes, but can't find the model anywhere) steel frame that I got secondhand from a garage sale when i was 15 for about 180$, with cleaning and basic maintenance to get it working well (dont think i spent more than 20$ on it).
and then i rode it for... i dont keep exact track but i reckon well over 50 thousand kilometres at this point, crashed it a lot, quite a lot of abuse hauling my fat ass on bad roads, chain snapped at one point but was easy fix, bent derailleur was harder, but fixed it up without special tools.
now it's sitting in the shack, not riding much anymore and need to swap front wheel. but there's no rust or big damage, could fix it and go ride around the country if i wanted

Every artist thinks they're worse than the others. It's important to be able to perceive your faults but also where you're doing well. From the sounds of it you're way too negative about your own work. I'm sure if I saw your stuff I'd be impressed just knowing a person who can do art like that. Other artists who have said something similar to you have always been impressive in some way to me. Remember that comparison is the enemy of good judgement
