All other Nvidia users can only use AMDs
framegen is not the same as DLSS which can be used by other cards
they need to rename their frame gen and not keep it the same as the upscalers

Mate unless NVIDIA did go back on their words(which i havent heard as such) and added frame generation support for 3000 series, all other non-4000 series cards are using AMD's FG
so if they change every .pak in the game, u basically need to reinstall the whole game

Lol i remember i accidentally turned on driver based frame generation and then in game frame generation, so 75% of my frames were fake. Moving mouse felt like playing through streaming service with shitty Bluetooth controller for first 20 hours of the game

I have a question for all the people with brain here, modders, people that can help me stay strong and not give up on this game, did they lied to us, did they released a game without feature (a life) that we were so hyped about or its just broken?
I'm running the game on 3900x / 3080 Ti with STK2 - SPF engine.ini mod, with DLAA on and framegen disabled, and holding a solid 65-75FPS. So, no upscaling and no framegen.

They made it as small as possible for console optimizations. It’s litter all they did. We have some mods that breath life to it but nothing close to what A Life 1 does.

Ok so, russian people who had released old hacked builds, according someone, said a-life did work at some point.
But currently the offline portion of the a-life either does not exist.i.e devs removed it, or so bugged we cannot interact with it in any way or shape.

Nah they just removed it and now use simple spawn director that estimates offline spawns, hence why people have issues with spawns

It might take a while to fix A-Life. The game has performance issues now, especially CPU limited. People have NO idea how hard it's going to be for them to optimize for something that's likely several times more CPU intensive like A-Life 2.0 will be.

You have control of how you split content into paks, most developers (including mine) just lazily put everything in 2-3 paks or let UE4 handle it automatically. So when you want to patch 1 blueprint in a pak of 6gb, you will re-upload the entire 6 gb even for a small change. Does that makes sense to you?
some of us are cpu limited, and yes, that can be fixed...
They should just drop a-life 2 and bring back old version

What they COULD do is make the entire offline system run from a server, and make it so if you want to play the game with A-Life 2.0 enabled, you have to play online, connected to their servers.

I mean, the system generated around the user, so the online system. But I'm talking about how the offline system interacts with the online system. That's the hangup. The CPU has to process all of that information the moment those NPC's come into your radius.

Yeah the value is there but it does nothing, its about the "non combat" spawns, 25m are combat spawns when you are actively fighting, but as a life extended dev found out, only the combat spawn value does work, the other values arent applied and only global setting is possible, check his update notes

Hi there everybody. I wanted to ask how hard would it be and if it's possible to make a mod that adds aim offset (deadzone aim or free aim) to Stalker 2, if somebody knows if it is which files have to be modified because I don't know where to begin with to make it

I think most of that Dec is psychological, wherein the trilogy we had these transition zones making all of the areas more distinct from another thus giving the feeling of an overall larger zone.
with the new zone as in S2 everything seems a lot more compact and closer together thus creating the feeling of a small zone.
but I sure would love more of the zone as well ^^

this uses loose files in the DLCGameData dir
so you can just get your files and put them into a folder in DLCGameData\yourmodname

I don't know about config but I do remember a lot of weapon related pakchunks, they were before pakchunk 30, check between chunk 20-30 using model, maybe you'll find something

I dunno about game pass lol. I used repak and unpacked the Exoskeleton Sprint mod from Nexus, and did it from there.
Well, all of the cfg files I checked still match, aside from a handful of lines in DynamicItemGenerator.cfg
Between 1.0.2 and 1.0.3
You can also load only modified files in FModel if you have previous and current versions of the game
Also, if you have already unpacked cgfs, you can easily compare two folders in WinMerge
i just dont have access to the games cfg files with gamepass, i can run mods cause .pak files just over write them. so i was wondering if you could maybe just upload a mod on nexus that makes the x7 suit upgradable for those of us that cant manually edit it

If you're using ReShade, press Home, go in and disable each shader module one at a time until the white border goes away. Some shaders can cause particles to stack around the border, like film grain, etc.

yeah, but I don't think it's that, I tried disabling effects.
If you want to keep the effect causing the border, there's a ReShade shader you can use to create a small black border to hide the effect
It's usually Reshade causing that. I've never seen anything else cause it.
Go into ReShade, go to settings, and at the top, under where your ReShade button is set to Home, set Toggle Effects to your END key. Then use that to toggle the effects.
It's only when a reflective surface passes the edge of the screen, reshade or not. I've been testing with and without reshade

for now just using this to find conflicts manually
i tried some merging tool but it also asked for AES key and i have no clue what or where to find that
Go Google AESDumpster-Win64.exe and download it. Then open a folder to it in Windows Explorer, and take the Stalker2-Win64-Shipping.exe and drag it over the top of the AES file name in the folder. It'll output your encrypted key for the game.
The reason UnrealPak isn't working is because the game files are encrypted, and it needs your key to work properly

detecting them isnt my issue its mostly when i try to merge them manually, or even trying to make my own mod, they just stop working in game as soon as i touch them

The reason unrealpak isn't working is because the game is encrypted, and the pak files have to match that encryption key, or they won't work.

Is using notepad++ with compare better than using repak? Surely doing it manually is better than relying on an automated program.

I use both. They do two different things. You still have to compare the contents of the files. But you can just use WinMerge for that.
I use RePak to get the file name, then Notepad++ to compare the contents of the cfgs.

You have to put repak.exe in a folder, then use console to navigate to that folder using "cd" command
Then place any pak you need to list, unpak or repak into that same folder

right now im trying to merge slower medkit healing with consumable rebalance and true stats

Once you've done it a few times, it'll take you a couple minutes to merge two cfgs. You unpack the mods into folders, go into the folders, open both configs into notepad++, compare the differences using Compare++ plugin (just enter CLTR+ALT+C in Notepad++ with both files open) and then combine the changes from both into one file, put it in a new folder (whatever you want the name of the combined mod to be) and then repak it using the commands I showed above.
Someone correct me but you cant merge mods that edit different config files.

well the problem is the medkit mod and weight rebalance edit the same cfg
There's two different ways to merge mods:
-
merging two of the same config files together, given they're from two different mods that change different variables in the same config file.
-
merging two entirely different mods that edit entirely different config files into the same pak file.

Yeah, as long as whatever cfg file or pak you end up with has the changes from all of the cfg files you want to merge into it, then you're good.

You dont need binoculars just change nohandsfovzoom to 0.2

when u go down a lod u go down a mipmap

This process basically compiles every single texture, effect and model so it runs best on your machine.
Without compilation if you launched the game the world would load and look basically empty.
And then you'd see a bunch of objects start materializing from thin air.
But that takes way longer

Edited and fixed the SOFMOD Preattachments.
In vanilla, it used to have the 9mm silencer as a preattachment.
And use another key for removing the widgets, just to separate things when testing.

Guys, did someone manage to spawn destructible stashes yet?
I changed all values in ItemGeneratorPrototypes.cfg, and I still have some 2 crates which somehow spawn 4 medkits and 3 grenades when I smash them. And it's just impossible with my changes. Like, is it hardcoded somehwere or what? Want to figure out.
had to try one last thing, something i just realized, when it crashes it always crashes twice in a row and then just works fine all of the sudden

Is anyone working on a weapon damage mod? Especially receiving damage. The AI just full auto's through bushes hitting you for very little amounts of damage but very often (like just 6 shots in a row no missers), instantly giving you the bloody screen making it feel like you're next to death while you're fine in reality.

There’s already like 10 mods that change AI accuracy and tweak stealth. Including one of mine called “Omega”, but it touches much wider range of game mechanics.

i will say tho good precaution would be to disable auto updates if you play with any mods that could bust your save if they suddenly stoped working

Hi, I encountered a problem while editing armor textures. When I change the texture in any way, or replace it with an existing one (as a test, I replaced the standard SPARK armor texture with the same one, but in the DUTY color scheme) - the texture becomes black and white. I don't understand what the problem could be?
However, when editing weapons or hand textures from the first person - there is no problem, the texture fits correctly. Below are screenshots.
Is there a guide for making basic mods for UE games? I want to make a mod to modify the scarcity of items in STALKER 2, but after downloading FModel and AESDumpster, and then rooting through the .paks I'm not entirely sure where to start.

Much appreciated. GSC didn't do anyskins for the unique variants except the monolith from what I can tell - so the paths don't exist from what I reckon. Until I figure out how to point the sofmod/clusterfuck/unknown stalker to their own material path this will apply to all of them 😦
