A mod I definitely want to do when SDK drops is a sleeping bag, so you can drop it down in a sewer pipe or a train car, or in the aisle of a bus and get some rest on the go.

Because the zoom is so small on your screen because your camera isn't being overtaken by the scope like vanilla

its a 4x scope the stuff inside the scope is 4x the size than when i am looking at it without., in my books thats a working scope

@rare ruin may i suggest changing it so vaseline gives thermal protection for a while? You know because apply after burn.
Here's the ideas if You want to toy around cfgs :
- Collimator Sight (the small one being attachable to other weapons like i.e. Vector and/or AR416 - i think the SOTMOD has it)
- Vector mod to be able to change the caliber from 9x19 to .45 ACP (instead 5.45x39)
- Adding more types of ammo like Hollow Point 9x19 / .45 ACP so there's more weapons to deal with mutants effectively 😄

Managed to get some decent reflection, but just in some cases, if u change angle, they go very ugly, and the thing the pistol does, every bush tree and grass also does if they in front of a lake....i tried r.SSR.Quality=0, but nothing, when i turn lumen reflections of, it foes away, but becomes much older reflections, and beats the point of makeing them look good, but not artifacting..

That's the current limitation of the Lumen reflection, the black blob thing you're seeing is the lumen reflection scene. Nothing can be done about it unless you're willing to pay a high render cost

The sharp reflections you are seeing are the lumen screentraces that give the high quality look, but it's a screen trace and limited to the same things as any Screen Space effect.

There's none. The "angle" you're seeing is where the screen space effect lacks data, like an object going off screen
the view angle isn't fixed its based on whats on your screen

i have a batch file with an exe you can just, drag the folder onto and it does it for you
using unrealpak bat files u drag pak on them and they unpak
@sudden summit you can put these in one directory and try dragging your pak onto the batch

@alpine cradle SSR in all games has this same kind of artifacts (your bush issue in the 2nd clip), the only difference here is Unreal Engine allows for a low LOD off screen scene to be used to fill in the gaps (your tree problem in the first clip). SSR is used over traditional reflection rendering however because its faster.
i know one thing for sure, the engine and computer can process things beeing reflected that are not on screen, i just need to find which of them are, maybe not lumen, also with lumen, i 100% have reflections of what its not on screen, with scopes, they always show exactly what its in the back of me
Things offscreen are the representation of the global distance field for lumen + surface cache. It's a low level representation meant as a fallback when the screen space reflections lack data or fail. Example, this is a global distance field
You'll never get accurate mesh and detail representation because it's a 256x256x256 pseudo 3D texture

Ya this happened to me after a few restarts. I think its due to the shader compilation at the start of the game... eventually after a few more restarts it went away and I haven't seen it ... i expect it will back though at some point though.

How long does merging with the tool take? I have the Game Pass version of the game and the tool doesn't work with GP. I was wondering if it isn't too big of an issue if someone could help merge my folder real quick?

it depends on how many mods that you have that are conflicting and if you have at least some shred of patience to sit and use a tool for two configs at a time
the only thing that I can even think of that conflicts here is probably RG_SensibleGameplayTweaks and the A Life Extended merged with Axxis Stealth

quite honestly, even if you don't want to call it a mod, if you're being asked to simply credit the users you learned how to make the edits from in the first place, it isn't that big of a deal, at all.

get most of my fps from FSR, but it feels like i'm playing on 30 fps (where nvidia and and other apps say i get 80-120) but with FSR disabled it feels so much better but way less fps

yeah same here, also on nvida, running DLSS and FSR, but with FSR also enabled i get more fps but game feels sluggish, like it feels as if theres heavy input latency, but if it's disabled and only using dlss it feels much better but also then i run at 40-65 fps, where with fsr enabled i run constantly at 80-100
i tried multiple of the upsacling methods, seems the only one taht gives me and fps boost is dlss and fsr together

Are you launching in dx12 mode? Most people got a solid increase in frames with just that. I went from 45fps DLAA 100 to solid 60fps with the same settings

dont have the engine ini, from ur game files open, u need to have that read-only (right click on it and propreties), make a copy of it on desktop, and have that one open, so u can copy paste the commands from the engine.ini within the game console (remember in consolo always put SPACE instead of =

no, what i say is, depending on your load order , some of the stuff wont be working as intended, regardless of how you change the load order, if you use these mods in that way, some mods wont work
so you either need to remove some mods, or merge them either manually or with an automatic tool and then hope that it works as intended and that they dont change the same lines
its a clusterfuck of all the optimizers with as little "removed", so there ARE redundancies and bullshit is in there for sure
but I point to where I got some of the "sets" of settings and the jank is a feature, not a bug

I didn't obliterate image quality, and performance is better than if I didnt go in. There are a few settings that are the most important there, im too lazy to point them out. Several guides and stuff already have done that.
Use it to find what settings you don't have. Definitely don't just plug my engine.ini and roll with it.
I have engine.ini paks (this one https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/7), but my engine.ini in config file changes work when I update them, so it's all an ASCII shrug moment

they say there is a lot of problems with it, saves breaking, crashing to desktop etc, like multiple bugs/post regarding that on the mod page
as i said now multiple times, the files from Grok_PseudoDog etc. are loaded after the Mutants Parts mod, so they overwrite the changes Mutant Parts does, thats why Mutants Parts will not work

I looked a bit online at Reddit, people are saying even though you can upgrade it and put a picatinny rail on it, you are unable to put anything other than the PSO 4x dovetail on it. some things are pretty baked, and need some work to get them to convert over into unreal, but it doesnt take much time if you know what youre doing
are you making a mod while excluding any profit? youre probably fine. make a game with those assets yourself while inducting profits? legality issues

never ever use a cvar in your engine.ini that contains any of the following.

scaleorscaling - never change LOD from default value equal to :
1- Increasing LOD scaling of any kind can push you across the threshold of vram limit very quickly.
- Increasing LOD mesh scaling creates issues with anisotropic filtering especially when forced in the driver level at 16x. This, combined with (NVIDIA only)
Allowing negative LOD bias in nvcpl, results in exponential performance degradation. Your garbage collector must work much harder.

HRTFit tanks fps and crushes audio. Due to extra cpu processing in post.. Causes me sea sickness personally, fps loss bad. - uhhhh i should make a list
x edits - do not change ambient occlusion method. The game provides lumen which covers ambient occlusion. Adding additional GTAO on top of lumen creates overhead

Kind of sucks laptop issues forced me into buying a new PC right before 50x series drop 
i'll probz get myself a 4070 ti super next year, so that i can also use nvidia dlss frame gen instead of the current fsr i use

Increasing LOD mesh scaling creates issues with anisotropic filtering especially when forced in the driver level at 16x. This, combined with (NVIDIA only) Allowing negative LOD bias in nvcpl, results in exponential performance degradation. Your garbage collector must work much harder.

Have you done some benchmarking to see if it's actually a net negative? Just because it's used with swams doesn't mean it's worse than whatever the default is
